LOL, looks like that one V3 already hit the ich10 bandwith on the readings !

Can't wait for CT to put 8xV3 on raid 0 to see how much they will provide !

it'll be the same just what 150mb x8 which is as fast as a revo drive. but costs probably even more so its useless.

really useless to collect a bunch of SSD for raid when they dont support trim and who would want cluttered SSD's?

No. Trim is not that important. It takes only minutes for me to clean the ssd's and copy the image back. Fast strage FTW

Some drives have their own garbage collection that removes the necessity of trim. Unfortunately, these drives often have special care and handling instructions (like leave a certain amount of the drive unpartitioned) to get the full benefit. I'm not sure I want to deal with that. Have you ever checked out OCZ's forums? I want to buy a Vertex 3 a lot less after checking out some of the threads there.

The Intel controller is SATA II and the Marvell controller suffers from a lack of bandwidth. What type of result did you expect?

Loking at it from a storage perspective only - from what I have seen so far - SB PCH is way faster than X58 ich10r.
