thats the reason I tend to trust HWC over other sites... their results most often line-up to my personal experiences. how did I come to this conclusion? I had two systems. one with a pair of unlocked 6950's in CFX the other with a Pair of GTX 570's in SLI. they were both in the same room running at the same time running the Heaven bench at the same settings on Auto fan speed. the GTX 570's averaged around 80-85 and the 6950's (6970's) averaged around 90-95.... all on Auto fan speed like I said and in cases with similar airflow. the AMD cards were also louder at auto fan speed while being hotter.... Testing GTX 580's using the same bench and type of setup I have seen most temps stay around 83-88...

Cause it's easier to get all of NVIDIA's partners to send us cards while AMD partners usually drag their feet a bit before sending. So it's very hard to coordinate a AMD GPU roundup.

    Hopefully that will change soon.
