Two things stand out:
1. "they've been working on it for two years" - the rumours have been around for almost 1.5 year so I believe that.
2. " fastest card we have ever build" - not fastest card ever build by anybody?
yeah one year half .... ( i believe they was really work to release the 480 just one year ago of release a dual 480 ) ..... the only thing is confirmed is now the card is really released the 24 and not today 22th .

Why don't they just take the top 10 games played on steam/xfire and use those for benchmarking. That probably accounts for 80% of the games ppl are playing....
I know why but im just saying. Who plays Metro 2033 for more than a few hours then never plays it again. Same thing with Crysis. Who really plays that game.

I can't believe how many of you guys believe those charts..... there are a few things to note. the game selection is questionable at best..... like World in Conflict??? ya that a fun game and all but really it's how old? and proven to be massively CPU limited...
also all the numbers for the 6990 AND the 590 are way to low in all of the 3Dmark scores at least. as Gual showed the 6990 scores much higher in 3Dmark. and anyone who has used a GTX 480 or 570 or 580 SLI setup can tell you that those numbers are also way low for the GTX 590... yes the clock speed has taken a hit but that can only negatively impact performance so much...
moral of the story.... wait for the HWC review...

I like the box though, nice packaging... but the mouse... I tried one 2 days ago and it was terrible... maybe a broken sample though... it was in guangwha in a shop you can try dozens of mice
I hope they bundle something else instead, a game would be much better, like bullet storm or sc2 or metro...

Both 6990 & GTX590 results are kind of weird imo.
With a single GTX580 @ 960 i could do 30250Marks ... so ... why the hell is 3DMark2010 Vantage showing 25k and 33k for 6990 and 590 ? Drivers? 3DMark update needed?

Holy crap people talk about being anal. For 1 they dont mention the system used to bench. Obviously they likely used older drivers and a slower clocked system / platform. Its not like they are claiming this was done on a 6Ghz 2600k... And as far as game benchs go theres no idea to know how they were benched. Futuremarks stuff is the only thing that can be compared given they are fixed presets and reproduceable and even though valid comparisons are only relavent on the same system only changing the gpu. Sure the numbers are lower than what is possible but they likely did this on a stock Nehalem system. Given they show the 580 at 5500 in 3D11 P I'm sure this is the case as this is roughly what my system scores at stock. The cpu at 4ghz alone brings this up to 6k and my gpu overclock brings it up to 7k so yes they are using a stock clocked i7 system in all likelyhood.
And of course they will use best case numbers in marketing, its marketing after all.
All that said I'd only find this card attractive if one was wanting to run 3d at 1920x1080/1200. ( and yes SLI is needed to run many games in 3D at these resolutions, hell I can't even properly run a good 5 or so games in 3D at 1680x1050 with a single 580 )

Nice scores, but I don't think they use a processor running at 5 Ghz to run the benchmarks.
Has anyone copied and paste that benchmark graph onto their desktop then right click on it, select properties then hit the Details Tab? Interesting stuff, It reads Photoshop. So, how often are we shown official graphs that come from PS that are legit?
