No they're not, only those that are revision 3.1.
There are six boards with black sockets, the same amount as in the OP.

Wait a minute. Have we seen an AM3+ CPU? Are we sure that it has that extra pin? I can imagine that the extra "hole" in the socket is only required for the 2nd gen. Bulldozes.

BTW, I don't believe the Asus story until I don't see it as an official announcment from them.

Hold on, aren't second generation Bulldozer chips going to be LGA?

Question: Why does the black AM3+ socket look so "flat"? Almost as if it's indented into the motherboard

I think what some of you guys are missing is how many actual cpu's and offerings there will be.

There will be bulldozer with and without integrated gpu. Quite possible, the extra pin is for gpu integrated bulldozers.

You are 100% spot on with the bolded comment. BDs with integrated graphics are going to be next year - the 2nd generation on a whole new socket... This year only AM3+ will be out, without graphics.

Fine with me... I have no desire to have a GPU on my CPU. Pointless, for me. Just a waste of die space, power, heat, money.

I'm not sure BD 2012 will have a GPU, but I'm almost certain that they will have PCIe, since AMD have already showed that the server CPU's will have it.
The 2012 server CPU's require a new socket, so I can't really see why AMD would keep the PCIe on the motherboard for desktop BD.

We're talking past each other - I'm sure we mean the same thing.

I meant that there are AM3 (listed as) motherboards on gigabytes HP. Therefore AM3 can be said to be compatible with AM3+ - but it's only newer revisions with the AM3+ (black) socket. Those boards shown in under the AM3 tab, will of cause be listed (also) under the AM3+ tab (when ever it gets on there).

Yeah I guess we do. I replied to you just because you said ALL their boards worked with BD.
