Yes I've been super Busy Fritz, sorry man!

For the RAID issue you can try to make a new BIOS for your card and see if that helps.

Download your original BIOS from HPT site, then try this with the downloaded tools included in the BIOS update, this helped me use RR 640 card with Intel BIOS enabled (Without this changed it failed to work)

There is a utility for programming HighPoint BIOS parameters for resolve compatibility

With Firmware upgrade ( run load.exe /C ) for the RAID Card :

And then test the option : Disable Reallocate EBDA in the HPT BIOS

Make two BIOS, one with that enabled and one with it disabled. Then test the disabled one first and see if it works, if not flash back the original or the one with it enabled.

If it doesn't work then you are probably out of luck unless you can get Gigabyte or Highpoint to help you directly with a BIOS.

    Yo LSD,
thank you mate. I am glad you are back on stage.
I tried your recommendations step by step but it didn't change anything.
Do you think it has something to do with the BIOS of the UD-7 ?

Anytime man, sorry I've been out so much lately but I've been swamped!

Sorry to hear that didn't work. So you're sure you made the card BIOS right, and then flashed the new BIOS into the card with the option disabled?

If so, then yes it probably has to do with the UD7 BIOS, sometimes this is just something you can't get around, other times it can be fixed with a board BIOS change.

I don't have the card to do anything myself, I only have the HPT 640, you'll need to see if Gigabyte has that card to test with. If they don't have the card they probably wont be able to do anything to fix it

Have you tried with the latest 2MB sized BIOSes yet? If not try with that, just in case BIOS size is the issue.

Slow mode working for Gulftown/Westmere on UD7 rev. 2?

Anyone know if they came out with a bios for the UD7 rev.2 that allows slow mode to work properly with a Gulftown or Westmere?

    Thanks,

Looks like the F8k got pulled, not even the f8g is showing, back down to the F7.

    Yeah man,
the F8k was pretty crappie with a hell lot of bugs too. The BIOS programmers should do their homework before they throw stuff like that on the market, don't they ?

So what's the best bios for the ud7 ? is f7 better than the f8g ? I bought a ud7 that had the f8g installed... but i don't have a way of knowing if this is better than the actual, official f7.

F8g imop , had F7 for a while and F8g is very stable due to no Double boots were Mit resets but i do have the Power saving options off in bios,

F7 was a big update at the time as it updated the Sata3 marvel firmware on second boot,

    stick with F8g imop ..

Check out tweaktown,Should have all versions of the UD7..

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Is there anything else different ?
This BIOS has an amount of 2,048 GB. Do I need beside the FLASHSPI tool anything else to flash?

Just Flashed F5E via @bios went back in and then reflashed using q-flash with F5E and worked just fine. So if current bios = 1mb and new bios = 1mb you can use q-flash. If bios is 2mb and new bios is 2mb you can use q-flash. If bios is 1mb and new bios is 2mb you have to use @bios or flashspi.

Sorry, I meant a 2,048 kb file. (In Germany we use a "." instaed of a ";" like you guys in the us do. That's why I made this mistake).
But are you sure that I can use FLASHSPI together with the new bios file to flash with a stick ?
