Intel revised/fixed P67 motherboards are starting to hit the self

A email I just got from MicroCenter where I purchased my Intel P67 motherboard. MicroCenter also gave me a choice of waiting for my replacement board for a even swap. Or if my board is not in stock refund to get a different P67 board.

An important announcement regarding your Intel I7 2600K, I7 2600, I5 2500K, or I5 2400 Processor (“Sandy Bridge”) motherboard purchase.

Beginning March 3rd, we will start to receive inventory from several manufacturers for the next 2-3 weeks. Inventory however will be limited until early April. We wanted you to be one of the first to know.

There are several options open to you. So that we may better serve you, please complete a very short questionnaire concerning which options you prefer. After completing the questionnaire you will be taken to a page with further details. See your local Micro Center store with questions.

Thank you for your business and your patience through this extremely rare situation.

Please click the link below to be taken to the questionnaire.

    Your Micro Center Team

No mention of "B3" here or here but is referenced here on v6.1.

Intel is in a tough spot not necessarily due to the 'recall' of Cougar Point. It's actually the re-release that will tie folks panties into a wadd.

If they show any real (or perceived) bias or favoritism to certain OEMs or distributors with the return of SB to market, folks might get a bit cranky and lawyer-up.

Intel will most likely keep a tight lid on things and keep all the troops in line to build up inventories. If Intel sez sometime in April it will be some time in April. Someone steps out of line with an early re-release and I suspect they will feel the full force and effect of the Intel legal department.

Got an email from Asus today letting me start my RMA on my board. They offered a basic RMA and an Advance RMA. The regular you ship your board first, the advance (requires a credit card) they ship first. They are paying for shipping both ways. Hopefully I will have mine next week.

Well I just bought a Biostar B3, so either they are going out of business with a lawsuit or they have fully embraced lean manufacturing and showed the other companies how to run a business?

I, along with many others, would like to know where you purchased your new B3 motherboard.

Are these with functioning Intel SATA ports or they turned off the Intel ports and added third party ports?

All of the motherboards on Newegg mention B3 stepping now. These should be safe to buy.

    Go here and register it:

    http://service.asus.com/notice/Default.aspx

They will send you an email telling you to start the RMA process. You do not need a receipt. In the "Where did you buy it" field put whatever you want, they will not ask for a receipt. Once it registered and you get your email response you can then choose a regular RMA where they will pay for you to ship it to them first or an Advanced RMA where they will ship it to you first after you provide them with a credit card to cover the MB if you do not send it back. Either way they will pay for shipping both ways.

Ive just got an email from Newegg asking what kind of replacement plan Id like. Advanced RMA is an option (and the one I took). To be honest Id rather deal with Newegg than Asus themselves.

Could you cut and paste that email? I'd like to see the options.
The only one I have from the egg so far is that boards will be available soon and will be dealt with in the order that they were ordered.

I tried but the email would let me copy only which I did. Everything in the email was the same, but below that was a ZOOMERANG survey which I did, basically asking what I would like to do. Get a 100% moneys back, even exchange, or return for another different P67 motherboard. . I picked the last one but after seeing the price of the ASUS MAXIMUS IV EXTREME (REV 3.0) $365.00 I said forget that my deluxe worked fine...
