Abit AN7 VS DFI Lanparty rev.b

    Hello

I,ve had serval problems with defect DFI lp mobos. I,ve had 2 defect boards. Today the store that I,ve RMA,ed my mobo to gave me a sad truth :/. The had testet like 5 mobos and all had undervolted really ing much :/. So de said that I could get another mobo. I could chose what board I ever wanted, so I chose the ABIT AN7. Have I done a good choise?

Most likely not, but you could get a 'lucky' one thats much better than average and work really well. I haven't heard of many that do very well though. Generally not as good as NF7-S 2.0 which would be comparable to the DFI.

Personaly i would never trade my LPb for an AN7, because iv never had any problem with the LPb except that my first card died when i plugged in the Coax cable :/ i didn't have any trouble with the first card either, except that i died before i had a NF7-s 2.0 and that was a really good card too, but the thing i like better with the DFI card is the 3.3v vdimm because i don't want to do vmods and stuff. just want out of the box power

Dont ask for a link to them cos I dont have one.
AN7 is very high potential board... unfortunately dont have the board to do further tweak on the bios

any way the modded bios we have done is quite good too
    Spec:
    ABIT AN7
250MHz FSB 2-2-2-11 timing Dual Channel
    - Memtest ran overnight with no errors
    - No Volt mod done
    - No L12 Mod done

    JUST BIOS MOD ... hehehe

    cheers

DFI LPB should do sky high FSB with some serious bios mod to... we llokingtoward hat board now...

Now that dosen,t look to bad, tictac. What about the bios you are runnig, where can I find it? The guys told me that if I wasn,t satisfied with the an7 I could sent it back, they also told me that they could voltmodd the card.

    everyone thx for the answears.
