Compressor placment - distance from condenser

Is there a set rule on how far or close you should mount the compressor?

I know your idealy ment to mount it so discharge is is in the path you want/need but is there any other reason?

400mm is the fan size and will move plenty of air, i hope!

As you look on at the condenser my input and out put are on the right so i will place the comp on the left as i will run a DSHC. I want to put the comp on the right hand side of fan so it gets a really good flow of air over it as i know it's going to maybe run hotter than normal due to the setup i'm going for.

How much distance should i put between the fan and comp then?

Again, sorry for all my questions

Yeah, FFS man. Enough threads on random stuff. Single stages are like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Just use a little logic and don't put your peanut butter and jelly on the outside.

To answer your question there is no rule for condenser placement. I'd just try to get the airflow of the condenser blowing over the compressor so you don't need a second fan to cool the compressor. Logical, right?

Easy boys, i did say sorry but this is a place of learning to ask questions. I understand there is very little love in this field now more so here than ever due to the frauds that have gone on, almost seams cool to do it!

I'll PM an a mod asking them to combine all my silly questions into one topic.

Non the less thanks for the answer, i was not sure if there was a rule or requirement

I prefer to locate my compressors as close to my condenser fan as possible to help cool the suckers down...they get very toasty...

In that case, perhaps a refresher of how this guy operates is in order:

He went around for ages claiming to have HVAC experience and even started taking work on. Yet here we are almost two years later and he's asking elementary single stage questions.

I know for a fact that your IP on here is NOT static, as I know of 47 IP's for your account used on here.

And I hope Peter (Piotres) doesn't mind me posting this here....

    http://www.benchtec.co.uk/forums/sho...4&postcount=28

And personaly I don't really believe that "Tetrafluorometh" will finaly order any unit from me, he already during last 3 years asked me (from various nicknames on forums, because from what I know he change nicks offten) about 2-3 weird cooling systems and in the end he always canceled his "order".
Strange too that your account started up here just as 'Melted Duron' got his back after it got hijacked.

I would implement the same spacing you utilized in this build that you sold for a pretty penny

I have said it before and I'll say it again, if nothing else Pete is persistant.

    persistently asking questions
    persistently annoying
and persistently logging into forums under different aliases after being banned lol.

So now I'm curious as to how we proceed. It has long be suspected that R14 is Pete. Problem is if we ban him he'll just pop his head up in another couple of months as another user(maybe he'll go for just Methane next time?). Do you guys at BenchTec just continually ban his alternate accounts?

R14-> Figure out a way to prove that you aren't Pete and this discussion goes away

Pete seems to keep changing his IP address so IP permabans are useless so we just play with him (as he's easy to spot) for a while then just ban him. We know he'll be back, he's just a 'forum pet' for a while until we get bored.
    YHPM in a bit Chris

Would be interesting to hold 'inter forum ban hammer' competitions to ban his ass every now and again.

It's not like we didn't know it was Pete. Well, I almost felt he wasn't as bothersome that time. Maybe reincarnation 5 (R15 anyone?) will fix the old glitches and bugs.
