hmmm i am a bit confused ... same proc, same ram ( perfect storm ) , same vc ( 5550 ) , same psu, same hdd ( wd 74gb raptor ) .... Ud5 spi 32m run @ 6m 35.xxsec while on my ud7 its 6m 37.xx sec ...same bios settings and same ram sub timings ... how come ud5 is giving me faster runs? I wanted the ud7 to be my main board ...do i need to set anything else ? or this board is really slower than ud5 ?

btw this is 5ghz run @ 2133 ram only

Hey guys, how did you get stable 2133MHz on MIVE with Hypers?

    I can run 2133 7-7-7 at 4.5GHz, but on 5GHz I can't even get a 8m/32m loop no matter what settings I tried... On PSC, 2180 6-9-6 is not a problem...

Running 0950 on MIVE, will try 1092 today but I doubt it fix that

Have you tried the red slots as suggested in http://hardforum.com/showpost.php?p=...17&postcount=1 which states: "Elpida Hyper owners, please use Red Slots for best performance, CFG Lock to Disable should improve SuperPI times"?

Am interested in your result as hypers stability (or lack of) is what's holding me back from getting the MIVE.

Well, I'm running red slots always, even with PSC, so I don't think it is because of that...

I'll try now new BIOS, but yesterday when I tried 1092 I corrupt windows :/ It wasn't stable at 5GHz even on 1866MHz. Maybe it was bad luck, will know in a few hours

    EDIT:
With new BIOS, 1090, I can't even boot at 2133MHz

    very nice runs chew

found out for my gtx there isn't really the problem i thought with tWCL 6 1067+
but needs another step vdimm from wcl 7 or it freezes 32m (XP only)
there's still a performance difference to my blades at the same set subtiming
but now i doubt it's due to the tWCL.
noticed aida read/latency is also better on corsair, but not copy score which would show for tWCL

    updated subs on corsair:

    old 5ghz 1067 7-7-5 @ 6m32.578
    new 5ghz 1067 7-7-5 @ 6m31.953

    timing change from previous

    tWR 12 to 8 = -0.25s approx
    tWCL 7 to 6 = -0.4s approx

OS etc unchanged (XP sp2 not nlited)

    100.0 x50 (100.2 bios set)

    99.5 x55 (99.7 bios set)

max on 55x for booting ~5480 so far, and ~10mhz lower on 54x

    and this runs ok

    4x2GB

    cpuz 1.56 showing vtt/vccio

    8GB Hyper.. Pi

these are all 7-7-6 as my OCZ (probably) won't do tRP 5 @ the clocks/vdimm i used

stick scaling > 2 .. each stick added gives approx equivalent 32m gain tRCD-1

    eg for 32M performance

    4x2 @ 7-7 = 2x2 @ 7-5
    3x2 @ 7-7 = 2x2 @ 7-6

max runs are cpu clock limited, atm still above 6mins
i have just enough clocks on 55x (5480) to do it on 54x
but so far the 54x has lower bootable max ... working on it

    100.0 x50 (100.2 bios set)

    100.0 x54 (100.2 bios set)

    99.5 x55 (99.7 bios set)

    99.5 x55 (99.7 bios set)

    101.0 x54 (101.2 bios set)

    101.2 x54 (101.4 bios set)

    101.5 x54 (101.7 bios set)

    estimated 5m59.8x

    hey thanks guys !

bassplayer.. 4x2gb with rank interleave enabled = higher 32M performance than 2x2 at the same clocks/timing
it's the same for other intel platforms but seems SB can run higher clocks easily in this config
and there isn't the problem of not detecting sticks like previous IMC.
there was no vdimm increase for extra sticks

here's a video i made to show droop is ok on this P67A-UD3R

in testing up to 1.55v with wprime ive seen droop go down by up to 0.024v which is pretty good, lower volts say 1.4 it would only droop 0.01v which is great. I didnt see any crazy droop some others mentioned. Im thinking the droop may not be enabled in some of the setups mentioned they droop more

for superpi there is no droop at all you get exactly what you set in bios

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9Ziq8ESPfQ&hd=1

the board overclocks pretty nice, its responsive, seems to clock ram nice (havent done much testing with this CPU in terms of ram clocks in the past to compare). I can boot into windows with these settings 1123Mhz ram, not too bad . I have to put a CPU i know does certain speeds and timings and then see how hypers go on it. I did a quick test on this board with hypers and had to use 2T with this chip so not sure if its the CPU or bios.

Wanted to make sure we didn't have to run off that 3rd ing core again that killed our effec.

It was on DI anyway, cpu is fine, being ginger with voltage.

Also I think 32m degrades cores IMC wise, no sense degrading it with the set of ram I let him borrow, 9-11-9 2000? waste of 32m runs if you ask me

Freez it probly better. No sense to run it high with air or even h2o

Just got a second 2600K here, but is a 56ers chip

Water may be more of a necessity for 32m, all depends on chip really.
