Don’t know if it was just me but with Beta 6 I had problems with profiles & power play.... they work great now & my card now idles low 30's. I fully removed the old version with settings before working out they have changed the way you edit the .cfg file to make things work properlyread the notes at the bottom of the page.

Are there still no unlocked BIOSes with higher overdrive and voltage limits?
Sorry if this is a bit off-topic...
I'm looking to upgrade to a 6950. Is there a difference between Sapphire or HIS? Can I use any of the 6970 BIOSes for both of those reference cards?

vid3 and vid4 are voltage settings at different levels in the card. Its why some users report artifact errors and some dont. Those that do, their card cant handle the speed and extra shaders at the wrong voltage level. Those that dont have problems, either have another brand besides Sapphire or their card is good enough to be able to handle the speeds at the different voltage

You can tweak these voltages with RBE or just unlock your own BIOS. I don't see a problem...
Main Comp (Win 7): ASUS R4E, i7-3930k @ 4.9GHz, G.Skill Ripjaw Z 4x4GB @ 2133MHz, ATI 6950flash/6970 Xfire, Custom Watercooling
3x Asus VW246H eyefinity; Polk Audio Monitor 40's (L,R), CS10 (C), Klipsch KG^4 (S), Sony STR-DA1000ES; all in a custom built desk
Server: (Ubuntu 11.04) i7-920 @ 3.8GHz, 24GB G.Skill
Will any 2gb model 6950 flash over?

If that has unreference pcb maybe theres hope for people with 2GB non reference ones.
Asus 6950 succesfully unlocked and stable.

Is there any calculation of success rate so far?
Has any one killed their card doing it? If so, any details?

But 1Gb and 2Gb has same performance up to fullHD, and some time also over that, so HD6950@6970 880/1375 1Gb = 2Gb with same clock.
XFX 6950 1Gb XXX sell in Italy for 200-210 euro vat included (20-30 euro under reference 2Gb).
But I dont think you can use the regular bios from the 6970 2GB versions with a card that only has 1GB worth of chips on it. You would need a 6970 bios made for 1GB of vram, which there isnt one. So the two models aren't really the same.

So as of yet there's no soft way of increasing the memory volts on these cards? (The VTT regs button in RBE is blanked out)
Ryzen 9 3900X w/ NH-U14s on MSI X570 Unify
32 GB Patriot Viper Steel 3733 CL14 (1.51v)
RX 5700 XT w/ 2x 120mm fan mod (2 GHz)
Tons of NVMe & SATA SSDs
LG 27GL850 + Asus MG279Q
Meshify C white
How about increasing the overdrive limits on a 6950 bios? That way you can keep voltage adjustment in AB, clock past 840 without disabling idle downclocking, and keep all the 6950 memory settings.
I tried using RBE to put the OD signature from a 6970 into a 6950 BIOS, had to force flash it, and then Catalyst didn't detect my card. No big deal with the BIOS switch and all, but no success either. Anyone else have any bright ideas?
