Guys, do any of you know if a RAID array coming from an ICHx-R like ICH8-R is directly recognized when installed on P67?
I know it works when going from an ICHx-R to another but I just wondered about P67 as it doesn't have any southbridge and it's not the same kind of chip.

Thanks to this post I was able to reach 4.9/1.4vcore by using the posted VCCSA
and VCCIO settings. After passing 4.7 at 1.3 for more than 14 hours I increased the speed to 4.9 but bsod right away, so I tried the VCCSA/VCCIO settings and ran for 8hours prime.

    Hi guys,

I have a new sb rig in the works and the last piece should arrive tomorrow. After spending the afternoon reading through this entire thread, I take it if I wanted a modest oc of 4.5ghz it would be best to go with the slightly higher vcore yet lower load voltage by using a LLC of regular and adjust the offset accordingly? Also, which bios seems to be the most stable in terms of OC? Will be back here posting tomorrow should I run into any problems. Wish me luck!
Also, how much do you think I would be able to sell my current rig for? sans ssd and storage drive, will put in a spare 150gb raptor drive.

new rig specs are as follows:

    i7 2500k L048A959 + thermalright archon push/pull
p8p67 pro (currently en route via ups, hope weather delays wont stop it from arriving tomorrow)

Most people like the 1204 or 1253 bios. 1204 is a newer version and the stable version of 1253. So I would try 1204 first.

I notice most programs seem to say the max temperature is in the upper 90s, but I heard many say dont go over 80. So what is it actually supposed to be?

I don't like to go 80 or over in long Prime runs, but already went 95 degrees (though only for a second) with IBT and newest Linpack, RealTemp thermal status was LOG instead of OK for hottest core. This new Linpack gets the CPU around 10°C hotter than IBT 2.50, so you have to be very carefull, from 60 to 80 in mere second.

My q6600 went to 95-100°C for a few minutes and is still alive, and I had other c2d chips which run without contact with the cooler for a few minutes and has been working pretty well since then.
Staying beneath Tjunction is a need on long term usage but going above for a few minutes won't destroy the chip.

How many GFlops do you get in linx ?

    At 4.9 with HT on I get around 55GFlops , without HT around 70GFlops , with windows 7 x64 SP1 .
    I saw some 100+ GFlops scores with SP1 - should`nt the score be a bit higher ?

interesting . I believe it is tied with the AVX function .
Did you maybe enable a function , or download a software that does that ? or do I get the AVX functioning right after installing SP1 ?

    Thanks ,

It's out of the box with SP1 you need a software that use it tought as LinX with latest linpack

Just put together my rig as per sig. Ran a quick linx bench at stock speeds for comparison with oc results. Man am I pleased with this setup! These temps seem almost too good to be true

Don't flash to 1003!, at least on Deluxe. It keeps random-BSODing anf if you flash-back, it becomes a mess.

after a while of stable clocks here is what I run.

    asus p67pro 2500k
    boot at 50x100 2133 ram
    pll 1.65
    digi+vrm load line regular
    digi+cpu current 100% 110 when pushing for 5.2+
    vrm frequency spectrum auto
    vrm phase set to extreme
    vrm duty set to extreme
vcore auto(it will set depending on overclock)
it defaults to 1.42 with these settings and I lower to 1.37 in windows and it loads up to around 1.48-1.52 depending on load.

Which board have you got? With the Delux I would think you could flash all the way back. If it's PRO/EVO then I would think 1204/1253 should be doable from 1302.
