Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

You can overvolt ram , try this![]()

pinto 1g+ on 1.05 holy crap thats nice!
wow i did not know ocguru volts ram also i have to try.
*
the lastest ocguru reads my card as a 450 and i cant move any sliders?
is there a "setings" area? 266.44's
i messed with the cfg. file added 84 as 560 still no go.
**
ok now i slipped a soc bios on.. pl p0 1.02v
but my card cant run that i need 1.127 for 1000
got the ocguru pos to show + add ram volts but it dont work anyways.
i'll stick to the po' mans unlocked 900 oc card bios![]()

Adding more voltage was not scaling good.
I haven't played much with GPU-voltages, but CPUs will scale poorly after they pass the sweet-spot.
So I've been trying some under-volt tests and game, to see if GTX560 is already passed the sweet-spot for 24/7 voltage.
Trying my exact same 24/7 setup with 0.95v/0.98v (Idle/Load), and it seams to have good potentials for low-volt actions, with less power-usage etc..
GTX560 @910/1200 0.987v
I've played abut 1 hour Crysis Warhead with the same setting too. I'm still testing, but far so good.
BTW, I've under-volted my 2600k to @4.2Ghz 1.17v for 24/7 too, tho.

You have said what I've been thinking about earlier.
I don't have a watt-mater yet, and wondering how much that 0.013v can reduce the power-usage actually.
I've seen some tests, where adding the same voltage (going up to 1.13v) would add about 80W tho, but I'm not sure if the same applies the other way. Maybe it's time to get a watt-meter, LOL.
The CPU is using about 9W (according to Real-temp, but i don't know is that's right or reliable) at Idle.
Anyways, this is a compact set-up, and I'm trying to reduce the power-usage on this little big monster, LOL.

Just got my GTX560 SOC. Only had time for a quick 3dmark vantage benchmark.
Im still running an old x3360 but im more than happy with the initial results (coming from ati 4850)
My factory voltage goes from 0.95v to max 1.00v:

Thx for the BIOS,but I found one earlier today (one in .rom format, saved with nVflash
) and manged to force-flash it too, and got this:
Everything, including the clocks and auto-fan was working fine, but (and that's a big butt) that thingy was not stable with stock voltages (1.0v) @1Ghz.
I don't know how GB got the SOC stable with that voltage, maybe better binding, or something on PCB, but whatever it's, it's not in the BIOS.
Anyways, I flashed back to my original BIOS again. It was exciting to try, but didn't work, LOL.

Back to my original BIOS. I'm going to stick to under-volting, and now down to @905/1200 0.975v. Hey that's still 5MHz OC from my original Core and got a good OC on RAM too
GTX560 @905/1200 0.975v
I've played about 1 Hour Crysis Warhead with this setting too. Still testing, but this looks like a promising 24/7 setup![]()
Still running with 0.950v at Idle tho. I can't reduce the Idle-volt without BIOS-modification, but current free NiBiTor can't edit 560 yet. Maybe I try it whit the next free-version later.

Dont feel bad sam my oc card could not run the soc bios either unless i turned up the voltage that is.
1,077 volt and occt 10 minutes 25 errors
i took off my 460 hawks cooler and put two 80's on it instead, cooler fits but fan on giga 3p hawk 4p.

SOC
No over any voltage
If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right.
That's a really good OC.
This 1050MHz 0.987v proves it's not about bumbling up voltages. That ASUS ^^ is doing really good too, and these results suggests there is a big variation in OC-headroom for these chips.
GTX560 is showing really big variations. These differences are too big to be considered as random ordinary difference's in binding. This is too big to be just some random event.
To me, it seams to be a deliberate and controlled variation, and I'm wondering what's really going on.

hi guys,
I'm thinking of doing a GTX 560 Ti SLi system, but I am undecided between these two models:
MSI GTX560 Ti Twin Frozr - 830 MHz Core
Asus GTX560 Ti DirectCu II - 900 MHz Core
which of the two is the better in terms of power consumption, heat, noise and overclock? which would you choose?
I know that Gigabyte SOC model is the current best but i'm looking for black pcb models only
Thank you in advance![]()
