I also think that L042B076 it's a go for it!

    My 1st L042B076

    5.0Ghz with 1.424v not bad :P

But the 2nd one is the best:

1.424v set on bios ( vCore jumping from 1.416~1.432v )

As you know I do not do stable.

If I can bench at those frequencies then that is all I ask from a CPU. Stable as in prime95 or what ever the current flavour of the month is has no relevance for my needs.

I do think it is important to those whom it matters to.

In many ways I sort of see it like a kind of benching but instead of points for scores it is how long at what frequency. So I respect those who practice stability testing but it is not what I am into.

I booted into OS at 5.7GHz on air. But to bench Wprime and Super Pi 32 I have used water. My husband bought me a SS yesterday so that is what I will use in the future.

57x Multi. And to be brutally honest it was very little my work and all the CPU.

    I got these on Friday.

My first one had a wall at 5.4GHz so

1day - awesome cpu, is that the highest ever for a 2600K ?

st0ned - very nice , hit them for max clocks please.

Guys do we have a discussion here on what rams to get for these?

No there are six others that have clocked higher. Not sure if they clocked with HT on and all cores enabled like I do. But higher they have clocked. I bench so I am not really going to get any HWBOT points for CPU-z with a Sandybridge. Not when 8GHz plus is what you have to beat.

Ram is a difficult one. I have had amazing results (better than expected) with some Giel Evo Two sticks I bought for the P55 boards last year. 2000MHz Cas6 - 9 - 6 doing 2133 at Cas 6 with ease. The only discussion I saw was working out why Hypers are not clocking on the SB boards. But with my GA-P57A-UD7 board I have not had any hassle as you can see with Hypers. I wonder if it is board related. You know how the bios sets the latencies of the ram. But I have no real idea.

I meant is that the highest multi for a 2600K.

The faster ones on hwbot are not far ahead of yours, good work. Only one of those 6 is on 57x multi too.

Running on air cooling Venomous X 2 fans.
    i7-2600k Batch L041C108.
    Asus P8P67 motherboard.
5ghz LinX takes 1.4-1.41v to be stable but hits 89C!

So for 24/7 use I'm gonna stick to 4.9ghz 1.36v set in bios:

Nice Laguna, try benching at higher clocks without LinX torture? It would be good to see its highest possible multi.

Yeah my venemous-X with just one fan gets up to 90C in small FFT prime, with 5 ghz and 1.45v load going through the thing.
And TRUE black with Ven-X mount fares even worse, even though the mount is so secure with the TRUE that it doesn't swivel one bit...(the Ven-X swivels but temps are lower).

Even a 190cfm Delta won't help, because it reaches 80C within 5 seconds...
