I'll but the sticks aint the problems, it's a bios/cpu/something issue, what started happening to me at 1st 5.1Ghz shots

    vCore around 1.4v when loaded

and what happens now at 5.2Ghz if I keep the mem timings I was using

    1866 10-11-10-28 1T

At 5.0Ghz nothing of this will happen, it'll run just OK.

Is the system stable at those settings? I've had no luck with Extreme LLC and entering manually the offset. However, it works fine with LLC disabled and offset > auto.

@stoned Try to increase IO volt first and when you cap out IO, try to increase SA volt. Because I think your mem controller needs more juice to be stable.

That looks good, and it's the same Batch# and MB as mine.
I haven't pushed that much voltage yet, just settled with 4.5GHz 1.27v for now, while I'm following laboratory rabbits, LOL, but it's good to see it can breach the 5.2GHz with that voltage.

Cpu-z mate, All retail chips are d2's also

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Had to wait 2 weeks in the UK for anywhere to really start getting the 2500k in stock, but mine arrives monday and will be running with a lapped Hyper 212+ strapped to its back. Can't wait to see how far it will go, hoping for between 4.8-5GHz with about 1.38v

and the question. I catch 33C at idle with Corsair H50. is it normal? At load I no way pass over 56C (at defaults). Mobo is Asus P8P67 Deluxe

Thing that you should notice is I'm running it with H2O but even if water temp rises near +30°C it's stable at 5.05GHz 1.36V

Water is not essential any longer, SB runs really cool on high-en air.

I've never pushed the vCore that far, just waiting out and watching laboratory rabbits, until we know more how resilient these chips are over time, as said before, but that @5GHz 1.36v sounds really good and could tempt me to try it soon.

SURE, I've seen that batch on xtremesystems, not remember where, seems to be a little better than mine at above 5,2+ Ghz (a little less milivolts on Vcore, for same freq) or cpuz calibration difference...

No mater, I hoped to pick up an cpu for 4500 Mhz around 1,33 Vcore (that was my expectation) but those is very very good, 4700 Mhz 1,259 on bios and 1,26 1,275 on load.

Grab it as is it available!
