Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone has modded the FC final BIOS for the UD5 rev 2.0 with the latest Intel/JMicron/Realtek ROMs, or if this BIOS already includes such updates.
Hello,

Why are you using the GB SATA channel, you mean the SATA3 chip, or the Gigabyte SATA2? b/c if you are on gigabyte sata2 get it off that port.
Retested on all ports (for comparison) and the WEI has increased to 7.4 ....regardless of blue/middle white/ bottom white Sata channels/ports.
Now why it took moving to another port to increase from the 6.5 - I don't know..but now get the same rating as stated.
I have done no tweaking for SSD, just a windows install on AHCI...oh.. this 930 is OC to 4ghz if that matters.
New beta BIOS is out.

I don't think either the UD5 or UD7 will do that. But you should check out the Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD9. However, hold onto your wallet and be sure to be sitting down when you scan for a price on that little darling - LOL!
From what I can "cipher" it ought to do x8-x8-x8-x8, and I sure as hell dont want anything with a board NVIDIA chip on it, had enough of that with a P5N32, NOT gonna go that route again. Dont think I need a $600+ board to run 4 5830's either, but cannot get anyone to confirm the UD5/7 will do the pci-e lanes like that....

Hey guy's, a little off topic to start with.
I just changed ALL the hard drives around in my HAF 932, and for some unknown reason, it stuffed up the bios, and it reset itself, and took ages to sort itself out, so I took the opportunity to flash to the latest FD1 beta, still took awhile to sort it all out, but needless to say, ALL my OC settings are gone, so I have to basically start again
Anyway, back on track, and it's probably been there for awhile, but I've noticed the Dynamic Vcore DVID option, but not sure why it's "disabled", there must be another settings required to activate/enable it.
Is it required, or can O/Clocker's do without it ???
I was having a really good run with my OC settings on the UD7 v2, @ 4212, but 2 days ago, had my 1st BSOD, but it was a really hot day, approx 95 F ambient, so I bumped up the QPI a notch. (1.355v)
Running 1.4125 vCore in BIOS, showing 1.392 - 1.408 in CPUz, underload, could I go a little higher ? LLC 2, Spectrum off, etc.
Cheers

UD5 and 7 will do that by spacing is bad, wait for X58A-OC board it will have proper spacing and fit your requirements![]()
Well ive been away for a while so im kind of looking for anything new and what i can do to improve my OC.
My system is in the bottom and for cooling im using a H50 Corsair.

Hello guys.
I can't seem to find any thread about gigabyte ga-x58a-ud5 Rev. 1, so is it okay to ask in this thread?
if it is, i will ask you about what BIOS is the best for Rev. 1?
and when will the new X58A-OC board be out?
best regards.
