Looks like the Gigabyte SOC would be the card to pick, but somehow I think the availability will be limited and the price ends up higher than what it should be.

To me GTX 560 seems a great card if it manages to OC to 1Ghz+ rather than "only" 900Mhz+. AMD certainly doesn't need to do anything more than what it did by dropping prices and introducing the 1GB 6950. I really don't see how AMD is in trouble because of GTX 560 like some people seem to think. They'll soon have the 6990 too for the performance crown. It makes absolutely no sense for AMD to start making huge chips like Nvidia, it would completely break their sweet spot strategy that has worked extremely well since 3800 series. You really want another R600 or a GF100?
It's really quite simple on the overclocking variance....Voltage. Most reviewers never kick up the voltage when overclocking a card for review because they always tell the readers it's "risky".

Guru 3d hit 980/4900 without a voltage bump, to put things in perspective.

It's not just that simple... I believe variance is still there.

That's why the Giga SOC uses the Nec/Tokin filmcaps to ensure stable ops at 1Ghz even though voltage is boosted.

That certainly explains a part of it, but there are some cards out there that didn't make 1Ghz even with 1,15V. Gigabyte SOC apparently uses 1,15V as the default voltage, which explains the high OC partly.

Here's a list of the OC's managed by different review sites:

    Palit Sonic 925/1237 1,07
    Palit Sonic 930/- 1,07
    Palit Sonic 925/1237 1,07

Some the reviews gave rather "brief" OC results and never told or showed if they used voltage oc or not so I marked them with ?. Most likely they didn't, but there was at least one where they must've used but did not say.

    Enjoy.

    For UK people.

Overclockers just got the 900 Mhz gigabtye in stock for £199.99:

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...14&subcat=1341

And Scan have the 880 Mhz MSI for £203:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-m...0mhz-384-cores

Those two are without a doubt, with the exception of the Gigabyte SoC, the best custom designs and coolers you can get on the GTX 560s, and they are also the lowest priced ones!

There is plenty in stock in Norway. I walked and picked up mine yesterday. A Gigabyte Ti "OC"-900Mhz was right on the shelf

BTW, I love the cooler on this card. It's a high-quality cooler (not a cheap one, as many have been fearing, LOL ). It's idling at 28'C quietly, but I haven't had time to test the load temp and noise yet. Still fooling round with OS install, and CPU-OC on a new build, but I've increased fan-speed to 75% (using EVGA Presition) and it's still pretty quiet to be a GPU

What SW did you use for voltage control?
I've tired NV Inspector, and the latest MSI Afterburner, both works fine for changing clock, but none of them can change the voltage yet. I guess we need upgrade soon.

Anyone know where i can pick up the 560ti White pcb GPU ?

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
