Are you kidding me? That's not Apple's problem at all
Apple probably choose the lowest price tender that will give them the quality they need. It's that company's perrogative if they feel they have to cut corners to undercut their competitiors! And even still... I fail to see how cleaning the screens with something toxic can have had anything to do with cost saving and not just plain retardedness.

"(Apple) only care about the price and quality (of their products) and not the environmental and social responsibility issues. In some ways they drive the suppliers to cut corners to win their contracts," Ma said.
and how exactly do they do that?
they are claiming apple is pushing their suppliers to cut corners?
thats a pretty bold claim and while i hate apple, i really doubt this is true...

i think its more like this: apple is very aggressive in price negotiations with their components suppliers. many of them end up raping their employees and the environment to get a deal with apple.

its funny how china blames apple for this, as we all know this doesnt only happen at components suppliers and factories apple works with. its a widespread issue in china! the problem is that the chinese government barely has any health and safety and environmental regulations, and either doesnt want to, OR IS UNABLE TO control their enforcement.

first everybody looked at foxconn and apple, then the ones in the know quickly looked towards the chinese gov for tightening regulations and controling the situation. but they havent dont anything... and now they try to blame apple? come on...

even IF what they claim is true, and apple is pushing their suppliers to cut corners, the only way to fix it is for the gov to enforce tight regulations, not for apple to change their policies... cause then somebody else will take their place... and lets face it, this is happening all over china and not just apple related factories.

dont get me wrong, apple isnt innocent, even if they didnt push things, they looked the other way and pretty much support slave labor, using the nazi camp excuse "i had no idea what was going on! i thought those death camps were just rumors!" think of the irony... el jobso is responsible for thousands of people getting their lives ruined and exposed to chemicals that cause cancer... while dieing of cancer himself... karma is a btch huh steve?

    Lol...
I don't know but I have seen a web page mention that some chinese have been using rice husks in wood gas generators to power there buildings.
It's a step in the right direction, just like making fuels with algae.

Wood gas tech is pretty old.
    Interesting stuff though.
It was something that seems was stomped out along with hemp around the same time.
That and I think the our great grandfather's probably thaught that there was no reason for alt fuels.
Whatever it was about hemp I don't know, but it seems they gave the impression to there kids(baby boom gen I think) that it was the devil.
