Whenever someone proves how "good" this fan is, then I'll believe it's a great product and buy it.... that means I'll actually see it!

Honestly with a pretty widespread choice of low to mid range quality fans like Scythe Kama flow 2, Thermalright TY-140, Gentle Typhoons etc, why they felt the need to release this ridiculous looking fan is beyond me. Guess if you can't come up with something decent at least distract and hope someone curious will bite.

There are just using many blades as they can.
And doing the exact oppiset in the design of the spindle compared to delta's tfb fans.
Probably hoping to increase the air pressure and reduce noise at the same time.

It's not the bad design, it's just that it's a weak fan.

As for the so called bearing tech they are using to help sell this fan.
You think, oh cool, it's gonna last along time and it's quiet, and it has alot of cfm.

Think of panaflo, they got a gimmick bearing tech too.
It's nothing more then your avg single bearing pack.
You put that fan on psu that's acting up for a day, and that fan's life goes for 100,000 hours to 24hours ^^.
It'll still run just as well, but it'll make alot more noise.
Just a crappy gimmick.
The only way to prevent it is to use 2 bearing packs.
Sleaveless fans do the same, the oil goes to shiz because of a bad psu and the fan is useless.
If the psu is good, fan may last a while but how long you never know, all it needs to do is heat up enough and the same thing happens.

Anoher thing about panaflo's, they have a decent cfm rating but not much air pressure to go along with it.
The specs look great, they hide the air pressure spec from ya...
You get the fan and realize it's not quite up to the task and it's really not that quiet. :\

Everytime I see some company come out with a new fan with some supposed miracle bearing I can't help but laugh.

We need good fans, 100cfm+ with decent air pressure, that's quiet...
They also need to direct more of the air towards the center...
Unfortunately this is not it.
Besides, it does look rather cheaply made.

The only fans I've seen worth a darn in my experience are:
Delta
Sunon
NMB
Panaflo
Yate-loon or was it sanyo deki ???, one of the 2 or maybe both.
Most of the above can be pretty noisy.

Heck they might as well coat the darn fan blade with an epoxy resin or something.
Get rid of that god aweful plastic noise.

From what I saw, people seem to have missed that CM seems to be pulling air in from the sides (if its not starving for air, should be quieter) by getting rid of some of the mounting bracket.

I doubt that this will work myself, but I thought I'd point it out anyway. At least its a new concept (afaik)

Not to be OT, but can’t there be fans with aluminum blades (and a suitable metal chassis to hold the momentum the spinning fan of course) and full ball bearings? It seems that a three blade, wide surface area aerofoil blade would remove the blade vibration that causes most of the noise.

Yes, a lot more current would be drawn in such a fan, but it seems that PSU’s over 500W are the norm?! It also seems reasonable that a safety grille can be built into the chassis for protection. Is this idea overpriced or unreasonable?

Just buy some high powered deltas, put on headphones and forget about it. Grow some balls, live a little! If you're going to push it to the limits might as well have it sound like a jet, oh and toss in some LEDs.

I'm only half joking, I replaced all my case fans with deltas, it works.

You can get some 120mm deltas though, some of them are almost quiet at slightly lower voltages.
And if you got a hand full of them, you can get some serious pressure going in your case.

I don't have any 120mm deltas though.

One of the afb models I believe it was.

Been looking once in a great while on ebay for batches of them, for cheap but haven't lucked out so far.

Oh and you can buy metal fans.
They sound just as bad.
And they die a heck of alot quicker.
At least mine did, my 120v fan.
It was a 120mm.
Well it didn't really die I guess you could say, it got louder and I had to oil it constantly.
(I gave it to a buddy of mine along time ago, I got it from radio shack, they didn't have something else I was looking for).
