These pics have me wondering, I was planning to put GTX 460 sli in my new road box. It's m-atx P-55/760. I decided to wait for the GTX 560 sli instead.

Thing is, It's rather small, out of necessity I have a 120x25 fan on the front floor of the case. I have 8.55" max length on that bottom card.

The Evga 460's I've been looking at are 8.25" long, they will just fit with careful power plug placement. The Gigabyte, and MSI twin fan 460's are too long.

Comparing these 560 pics with the reference 460 pics, it looks like the board has grown .75" to 9", if so no GTX560 sli for me.

Anyone know how long this board actually is? Any opinions? Thinking I should just pull the trigger on the 460's, as I can get the SKU I want now for a good deal.

anyways that 1GHZ Gigabyte card is total beast. considering thats a 180MHZ bump on a factory OCed card and when you think about it, even the GTX 460 FTW (the highest factory clocked GTX 460 if I am not mistaken) was only a 175MHZ jump over stock...

could it be possible that this card clocks even better then the GTX 460???
    GTX460 was a real ground-breaker for 4xx-series, both on price and OC-headroom.
That's why 460 gave a good boost to nVidias sale numbers.
This little OC-monster seams to be a great improvement and true follower of 460. At least when it comes to OC-headroom. .
Lets hope it follows the price-policy too, then nVidia can make a new break again.

It's too early to make sure, but these latest PCBs seams to be non-reference. Earlier leaks shows much shorter reference-PCB as this one:

Ths picture was Posted at: http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/9026...cb-leaked.html . It's 3 weeks old and may have changed, tho. Not easy to say what's reference-PCB today.

But, from the look of it, nVidia seams to be giving open-hand to parters, both on PCB and coolers from the start. In case, 560 may show up in many different forms and shapes.

Anyways, I suggest you wait and see 560 before clicking that order-bottom on 460. You may regret fast.

It was allready the case for the 460.... maybe not PCB, but do you remember how many different models ( clock speed, memory speed, cooling ) have been launch the first days ? i remember the hardware sites who had 7-10 different 460 to tests on the launch days. ( 1gb, i don't speak about 768/1go models ). let's not forget Nvidia AIB partners was for a lot worry to don't get any "high sell segments" GTX4xx to sell before June 2010 (well no cheap / middle range gpu)... they have put a lot of effort to submerge the market with many different models ( high OC, average OC, not OC, different coolers )

You I remember that. Partners got free-hand to do what they want with GTX460, from the start. nVidia have been doing this for cards intended to get pushed aggressively, lately.
Anyways, GTX560 seams to be starting in many shapes, forms, and flavors too.

I'm just hoping for a Evga EE [external exhaust] 560 that is the same 8.25". Of note the shortest 460 MSI Cyclone is only 7.9", there is alot of different designs. Hopefully this bods well for a short GTX 560.

I could hedge myself, get 2 Evga GTX460 SC EE now, then step up in 90 days if the new 560 EE will fit.

EVGA's Step-up is a good option too, specially if you HAVE to get those GPUs now.
But these early info on GTX560 is suggesting that 460 is obsolete already. In case, the 460-prices may fall really fast.
You won't loose much tho, because they are cheap already, but if you can, you should wait for GTX560. It's just a few days away, after all.

OOps I didn't know that picture was fake, but the GTX560 may still come in different shapes and form, just like 460 did.

Not really, $199 is just something I'm crossing figures for. As I've aleready stated clearly several times. I don't know the final price, but who knows, maybe?

I should just wait for the launch to be sure, plenty of the EE cards for sale now anyway, and price might go down soon.

I found out those pics are a fake 560 and are 460. So I have my doubts a 560 reference will be 8.25". Lager pwm area would indicate the card grows a little, unfortunately if it grows at all, it won't fit.

The next week will tell the tale. As for price, if demand is high, I'd expect a initial street price of around $250.00

Yeah you should wait. It will be plenty 460 left, nobody is rushing to order them just before 560 hits the marked.

The size of reference-PCB is unclear now, but a short custom PCBs is not imposable. The next week will tell for sure, but you may already see several leaked pictures/spec tomorrow, and coming days too.

    if this statement is true

This can be attributed to the rumor that GF114 is pin-compatible with GF104, to minimize R&D costs partners have to incur. They would probably just have to use the new GPU and its appropriate bios.

then they will have room to lowball in this class.

Those were a lie, as it was proven to be shots of a GTS450 or something. Anything that comes out of OBR's mouth is a lie, pretty much.

A first clue would be the amazingly anemic power delivery section for a card that's supposed to be better than the GTX460.

With Bulldozer coming out soon, I think the planets are lining up for a refresh where I can finally have a choice between components. Looking forward to building a mATX based on a FT03. God I want that case.

I had also stated clearly that was 3 weeks old, and said: "Not easy to say what's reference-PCB today." at the first post. So I had been expressing possibility for a changed/fake PCB, anyways.

But none of this means we are going to see only long-PCBs GTX560. These early leaked pictures, specially the "Gigabyte Super Overclock (SOC)" are suggestion that parter got a free-hand to do what they want with GTX560, from the start. This suggests we are going to see many different shapes, forms and flavorers at the start. This was my point, that picture doesn't matter that much.

After having huge cases, cramming as much as possible into a m-ATX is fun/challenging. Next is a mini-ITX w/32 or 22 nm cpu and next gen gpu

I travel for a big part of the year, I need something more than a lappy to keep me happy. Then on upgrade the hardware goes to HTPC.

If the 560 is "pin compatible" w/ 460, I should have my 560sli. Now I gota upgrade PSU maybe, on the edge w/Corsair HX650w.

If the 560 is "pin compatible" w/ 460, I should have my 560sli. Now I gota upgrade PSU maybe, on the edge w/Corsair HX650w.
I've been having fun with squeezing a HUGE SR-2 inside a little ATX-case( SilverStone Fortress FT01). It has been fun.

I'm also considering to get a 2006k + a good GPU to put on this little cute baby (I hope the picture is not fake ):

Thais baby is a (ZOTAC H67ITX-A-E, Socket-1155) if you are wondering, but all GTX580s are too long, so I know what you are taking about

I'm still hoping to find a good and short GTX560, and then I will go for building a little cute monster. It will at least be for a little portable one.

Must of released the news on that mini itx zotac board, Mind posting full specs up? im waiting for zacate/llano desktop for a htpc.. Dont even need a GPU which rocks!

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Considering how I use a USB soundcard, all I need is 1 PCIE slot.

I actually made a typo. I want to make a miniITX system, either with the FT03 or a miniITX lian li case.

My local dealer (in Norway) has somehow listed it for sale tho, LOL. There is not much info there, it's a "mini-ITX, H67, DDR3, 1xPCIe-x16, SATA 6Gb/s, USB3.0, eSATA, DVI, HDMI, DP, WiFi". You can find the listing here http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=622557#extra

EDIT( I've found it on Zotac site now, it's here http://www.zotacusa.com/zotac-h67itx...therboard.html, Maybe they have just listed it?, I couldn't find it yesterday. But there you have full spec. )

I haven't decided which MB yet. I have a couple of mATX on my short list too, including ASUS P8P67-M PRO and Iintel DP67DE. These are P76 and I can OC the CPU, but that Zotag has the advantage of size (mini-ITX), but it's a H67. That H67 would nail right on your requirements for a htpc, but I'm still holding off trying to gather more info about a high-performance potable little monster, LOL.

    EDIT:

Yeah, that could be an option too, but If I find a good and short 560, that would be good enough for this little build. I'm still gathering info on this 560 before deciding.

Fresh news; Gainward Readies GeForce GTX 580 Phantom 3 GB Graphics Card

I guess this is bad news for those who have been raising doubts about 6970-2GB alternatives for high-res and multi-monitor, a couple of days ago.
