    Sennheiser hd 201 review

Here's the review, even if not too extensive of these phones: D
Thanks to Zander , we have borrowed them from him

    Intro

Sennheiser electronic is an organization based in Wennebostel (Wedemark), near the German city of Hannover.
Built in 1945 by Dr. Fritz Sennheiser, at the time under the name 'Laboratorium Wennebostel' (Labor W).

Its product range includes headphones, microphones, wireless microphones and monitoring systems, conference and information systems as well as aviation products and audiophiles.

For many regarded as the MARK of phones, is used from DJs, the television and radio, to the most common users of computer and MP3.

    • Network Card Wireless N DWA-547 D-Link

    First word and toughs

Sennheiser is undoubtedly a reference mark on the world of sound. Even in the gamer is a great reference and world today presents a range as high and good product that is difficult to be indifferent.
Sennheiser is no doubt described in two words: quality and loyalty, or sound relationship or business / consumer.

I am not the person most of the audiophile world, I hate phones quite even, because I never had money or put aside enough to buy something very nice, always ending up with something that only has the powerful sound intensity, sound quality was terrible. It is my hypothesis to surrender of my last few headphones;D

Details described in the back of the cardboard box

    Photograph development

The package: D simple card, relatively small

Opening the box we have the phones in this plastic wrap

Besides the phones, we have an adapter inside the box to 6mm

The phones in general, gray and black

Details of the top and outside of the handset

The cushion at the top, very comfortable and practical.

The two wires coming out of phones.

    Jack 3.5 mm: D

Letters on the side that indicate the model. You can see that the slightly phones allow some rotation.

cushion your ears, cover it all. Some models are more soundproofing, but this makes a very good job: P

Maximum aperture of phones as well as rotation

    Installation and use

The Headphones do not come with any cd or drivers. As such it is only fitting, configure, adjust the volume in our hands and will stand ready to delight us

The wire is big enough for a desktop computer, too big for an iPod or MP3 up, could be smaller or have a.

The phones enable a broad set of size (circumference), and allowing some rotation of the handset. Because the top of the sponge and its rigid structure, which amazingly is super light, are ideal for long use and handling will. Some phones are flexible in the top because they have little material in that area, but these phones can be very, being tough but lightweight and comfortable.

The fact that both the wire side was perhaps avoidable due to the rigid structure of the top and the little piece that joins the wires (located + or - in the breast area) could be adjustable.

It also has no button to control volume or playback modes, but what are the phones should be simple and of good quality.

    Analysis

Music (WMP11) The sound is simply divine for the range and function that is (mostly monitoring and mp3), although only 2.0 allows a very good quality. It has the best "bass" of the universe and it lacks any soul in the medium and soft power at high frequencies.
Thanks to the sound card on my board, got the SoundMax enable Sonic Focus, and woe to the sound takes on another dimension. If we are not misusing the low immersion crazy, the sound gets the same spirit. This proves that the phones may not be expected to thunderous low on small devices like mobile phones and mp3 low range.
Personally I can not get the sound for minutes at most, I like the lighter sound and these phones being the "ear full" quite unable to control noise. Some phones make it muffling the sound with external power but they are soft.

(Youtube etc ...) serve very small tasks and labors as Web surfing and watching videos and music on youtube and derivatives.

Movies The sound is really immersive. With the perfect setting is spectacular. Has its limitations clear, but is guaranteed good quality. Definition is not so detailed as some phones 5.1, phones are not the top, but, as they have quality and Senneheiser name.

Gaming I tested the FoF and in various FPS games and cars and the sound is very nice and defined. There are phones in class gamer, but has a role to the fullest. Lans able to think in ensuring sound with "peace", but there are models more soundproof from outside the market.

    Audio edition
After all enjoyed working in Sony Vegas and After Effects and Premier. The sound is very good. I worked both with Sonic Focus turned on and off and I liked

    Comfort
They are very comfortable, but you have to adjust well or will be pushing in the ears. For those who use the same phones glued on top of head above the pillow helps a lot. If you are like me and also spend time with their phones off while surfing etc, this ensures that we do not bother with that brand of plastic structure.
The pads of the ears are very comfortable as well, giving the necessary comfort for hours.

Design They are sober and simple. There aren't all filled with crazy twists and cuts and tears etc etc. Are quite "satisfied" and cover the entire ear.

    Conclusion

    Pros
    Quality of construction
    Long wire
    Price / quality (25 € approximately)
    Comfort
    Light

    Cons

It has no volume control or choice of modes
    Netherlands could be better
Cards or devices that have not committed a worse quality

    Comparative summary

    Sound Quality

    Quality of construccion

    Gaming

    Design

    Final Note
    7 / 10

    Hope you enjoy guys

Got one for my Dad, just to let him watch TV at night.

Build quality is awesome. I've tripped over it several times while it is plugged in, and nothing broke. The sound quality is pretty crisp and clear too, but lacking some bass.

Awesome cans for a 17 bucks, definitely better than some crap Skullcandies out there.

Yes, good to see someone with the same opinion as me. The build quality is awesome for the price (i've one sony headphones that the top is 2 flexible plastic strips, damm and my 2 philips of this price level broke the 2 times on the same place).

Yes, the lack of bass is notable, with my soundcard i was able to add some on Sonic Focus, but if i put on the max bass it start making annoying noises, i think maybe its the diafragm itself not prepared to.

But for the price, i've not see better

Still, I'm pretty sure for closed cans I'd go with the ATH-M50's

I hated mine and bought Koss PortaPros about a week later. I tried every reasonable trick to keep my ears from getting sore, but none of it worked. In addition to my PortaPros, I also have Sennheiser HD-555's and am looking to replace them within the next year. I'd like a balanced headphone amp and AKG K702's or Beyerdynamic DT-880's.

Well... i have the Sennheiser HD555 moded like the HD595 and it sounds pretty cool, and i was very very happy with it till i found this review on Headfonia and Head-Fi forum, about the Superlux HD668B. First impresion it's another chinese copy of AKG's headphones but it's more than that.
Now i have both and it's incredible what a 27€ chinese headphones can do (sounds better that the HD555); they are very inconfortable on ears (big problem that can be resolved) and i recomend to change the earpads to a couple of original AKG's.
The Sennheiser HD201 it's a great election, but if i was looking for something better on low price thare a chinese competitor...

I bought my Father-in-law a pair of 595's for Christmas. Some have modded them for headphones. They are very nice. I also like the Logitech G35. Both sound excellent, of course great surround with the G35 but USB only - which is actually a good thing for some.

I have seen some real junk; these two are my favorites in the below $150 category.
