ASUS P8P67 Pro/Evo/Deluxe OC discussion thread

Anyone with the Deluxe version running SLI. Stole a GTX 580 from my other PC and it doesn't seem to want run 3D mark 11 (pos) with medi-ocre OC's on the cards. System not OC'd. Could be that I cheaped out on a 1000W PSU but it dumps as soon as the graphic test starts. Wondering if anyone else is having issues? Runs fine in the other system.

Wait for a new driver that supports SLI i 3dm11. Or google evga sli 3dmark11 patch.

Thanks. Sli patch is for both. Got both the SLI patch and the Nvidia inspector trick. But your right I'll just wait until Nvidia get their new drivers out, then see.

I had to replace my Thermaltake 700W power supply because the comp did hard resets in 3D stuff, I lost 2 days with this and thought the GTX570 was faulty. Whats crazy is that I installed a cheapo 600W power supply and now it works. The specs says it has more 3V and 5V amps but half of the 12V amps, go figure...

Unfortunately I can't login into Windows (hangs while loading the splash screen)
at 4.6GHz. I tried even with 1.41 Vcore and still nothing.

How strange is that ?

normally @ 4600mhz is not required internal pll overvoltage.....

I'm trying to determine if the Noctua NH-D14 will fit with Corsair Vengeance or GSkill RipJaws X memory. The memory is 50mm (about 2") tall. The HSF is 62mm to the edge of the fins, 89.5mm to the edge of the fan.

Is CPU Current Capability setting not necessary?

If you could measure from the center of the CPU to the leading edge of the memory we would have our answer. However, I will have my board before the end of the week (shipped today) and can take the measurement then.

It works fine when I'm not overclocking, but cannot get my PC to resume from standy after I change bios settings / overclock?

Upgrade your CPUZ. Mine read 94.4 bclk with that version. I think that version is not accurate.

My 24/7 is 4.5GHz @ 1.3 --> 66C under Prime95 FFTs

I threw the drawing in the manual into Photoshop a few minutes ago I got 53mm which is 2.097in. So..same answer.

However, since the cooler is 62mm, the dufference is 9mm, .35in. Bigger than a breadbox.

Ya, I'm having a problem resuming from standby. My PC is rock stable, except for this problem where it freezes on resume. Currently running 4.8Ghz 2500K P8P67. I came on here hoping someone else was having the problem and there was hope of a solution.

I run my ram in the blue slots. 4gbx2 no problems with overclock

Done an overclocking guide based on the P8P67 Deluxe, I know most people here won't need it, but there may be other info that's of use

I believe the blue slots are the primary RAM slots, see manual for recommended configurations!

It's printed on the board A for black slots and B for blue slots.

I'm just going by the picture where it shows 2 sticks in slots in DIMM A2 and B2 (second and fourth from the cpu...)
