    @OC_Nub: Nice rig man.

Just got a new build and thought I'd let you know we're batch brothers, haha

Just did a very fast OC, set the turbo ratio to 45, everything else auto. Ran Intel Burn Test @ Max, and got it stable. Voltage reported around 1.3v, so pretty similar results. Temps were a little higher (mostly stayed within low 60's). Probably either shooting for 4.6 or 4.7 as daily 24/7

This batch seems to be pretty good. Congrats on the new rig!

    Hi guys,

I am using bios F7A and i'm just wondering if this has somehow disabled auto cpu underclocking or if it has something to do with my settings.

2600K @ 4Ghz via main CPU multiplier, turbo disabled
    set to 1.2350v
    all other settings auto.

It seems my CPU is always at 4Ghz even when the computer is doing nothing. Any ideas?

Set defaults in BIOS ---> 40 multi ----> F10 -----> yes. And all should be sorted.

Suspect when you deselected Turbo feature you also remove the speedstep and other options.

Ok, sounds good. I also updated to F7B, i didn't realise there was a newer bios out.

I appreciate the reply, I hadn't considered that disabling turbo might have caused it.

    Thank you.

F7A bios here. Turbo MP set to 45 on all cores. After wake up from S3 no more turbo, CPU sits on 3.4-3.5 GHz under full load. Restart fixes it. Anyone seen this problem?

Mine moves slow on the CPU Frequency page (that shows the turbo multipliers). The other pages are fine, and if you manually set the turbo multipliers (instead of auto) it is fine also. Is yours slow everywhere?

It does it on mine, even at very low overclocks where it is definitely stable. Yours resumes at the overclocked speed?

Runs prime95 small FTTs for half hour.
But even with the suppose to be stock turbo MP 38 does the same think.
CPU clock MP is set to 34, but it runs @ 3500 so there is some +1 turbo after wake up but doesn't respect the set turbo MP. And the bios doesn't lose the settings, just needs restart to respect the mp again.

I am having a weird issue with my board. It seems that when Windows is goes to sleep the board locks. Everything stays powered but my monitors go to black screens and do not respond to mouse of keyboard. I have to hard reset the computer at which time the motherboard recorvers the bios. I am using 7b and it recovers to F3. This has happened 2x now both times when the computer attempted to sleep.

The dual BIOS feature is a little sensitive right now and it trips a bit sooner than it should,BIOS guys will relax it a bit so it doesnt flick to backup mode so easy.

if you see it happen just flick the switch off the PSU and clear cmos and start clocking again.
stasio please con you investigate to how many volt (in number/percentage) the internal pll overvolt is overvolting?

Here is how to manually invoke the Dual BIOS recovery. If you don't get it at first keep trying, sometimes it's kinda tricky

It is possible to make the BIOS Auto-Recovery kick in (Dual BIOS) and re-flash the MAIN BIOS with the contents of the BACKUP BIOS.

This is a simple and easy method for anyone to try before having to resort to other more difficult methods, or a RMA.

    1. Shut off the power supply using the switch on the back of the PSU, wait 10-15 seconds.
    2. Press and hold the case Power On swtich, then while still holding turn on the power supply from the switch on the rear.
    3. Still holding the case power on switch, the board will start, once it does release the case power on switch and shut off the power supply via the switch on the read of the unit. (Do the latter two parts as quickly as you can once the board starts)
    4. The board will shut down.
    5. Turn the power supply back on using the switch on the rear of the unit.
    6. Turn on the motherboard by pressing the case power on button.

Once the board starts this time you should see the Gigabyte splash screen, or POST page, then the Auto-Recovery from Dual BIOS will kick in. You will see a checksum error, and then recovery from BACKUP BIOS will begin. Once it is done reboot your machine and enter the BIOS and load optimized defaults then save/apply/reboot back to BIOS.

Now you are done, and will be using whatever BIOS was in your BACKUP BIOS, From there you can attempt whatever you were previously trying, or update your BIOS to the latest version.
