    How many volts did u use with smartdoctor?
    With 1.35V I get 1075 on core, higher voltage doesn't help.

    Yes will go higher on LN2 but i believe this cards will max out ~1150Mhz as the circuitry its a cut down version of the HD6970 and cannot handle much more , no v-mem mod yet but i was running the card on my water chiller at -12c , but i added a whole bunch of all cooper small Enzotech heatsinks to the VRMS area and a couple of mosfets , also i added all cooper big chunky swiftech Memory heatsinks to the memory and i believe that helped me a lot. Not bad for a card i paid $279US Dollars at newegg .

    What do you guys think about running two flashed 6950s as 6970s in XF on a Corsair 620HX? I'm going to have to use two molex->pcie cables as it only comes with two 6/8 pin sockets to start with.

    Sweet! Thank you!
    Interesting note:
    Note for those who use modded 6950 cards. Afterburner provides voltage control only on reference design 6950 cards with 100% original 6950 BIOS and 6970 cars with 100% original 6970 BIOS. Afterburner's voltage control WILL NOT function if 6970 BIOS is flashed on 6950, it is supposed to be that way and it won't change in future versions and any "bugreports" on it or demands to "fix" it will be ignored.
    Edit1: the file doesn't work, the file name is "MSIAfterburnerSetup210Beta6-[Guru3D.com" for some reason, wth.
    Edit2: don't use European mirror. It has issues.

    Really glad to see thinking users in the forum. Yes, it is possible to override the database to make Afterburner voltage control working with 6950 flashed with 6970 BIOS. 6970 voltage calbiration info should be added to 6950 configuration file in this case:

    VDDC_VT1556_Defaults = 9A 5C 9B 80
    CPU: Intel 2500k (4.8ghz)
    Mobo: Asus P8P67 PRO
    GPU: HIS 6950 flashed to Asus 6970 (1000/1400) under water
    Sound: Corsair SP2500 with X-Fi
    Storage: Intel X-25M g2 160GB + 1x1TB f1
    Case: Sivlerstone Raven RV02
    PSU: Corsair HX850
    Cooling: Custom loop: EK Supreme HF, EK 6970
    Screens: BenQ XL2410T 120hz

    MSI Afterburner/profiles

    I have 2 cards so I did to configs.

    File name may look like this
    VEN_1002&DEV_6719&SUBSYS_0B001002&REV_00&BUS_2&DEV _0&FN_0.cfg

    Add this to the end after the profile info

    [Settings]
    VDDC_VT1556_Defaults = 9A 5C 9B 80 <---- what i used

    I have a set of Sapphire HD6950 flashed to Sapphire HD6970

    I ran a quick test during lunch to make sure it worked at 1000/1450 @ 1.30v
    It did Vantage fine. GPUZ still reads voltage at 1.175. My cards would not go past 945/1450 @ 1.175
    Intel System

    Have you or anyone else tried this on a 6950 that has shaders unlocked but nothing else? I'm using Wizard's tool so its not a full flash to 6970.

    not a bad loop, but I would do CPU->RAD->GPU's->RAD->PUMP

    that would see you getting better thermal performance
