It looks like 5 Ghz will be easy to reach on a lot of these chips, and 4.5 Ghz for definite for everyone.

My 4.2 Ghz makes me sad now

Looks like people are getting closer to 5800Mhz (WR is 5774MHz), getting over 55x is still not quite possible, though..

x55-limit seams to be some kind of MB/BIOS-limitation, because these CPUs should do x57, theoretically.
I'm wondering why so many (all?) MBs are hitting this x55-wall. Is it MB/BIOS related, or CPU-batch# maybe?

Damn, nice. That's some monstrous OCing, especially 5.4ghz air OC benchable is nothing to sneeze at.

10K+ CPU on air is always nice with 4c/8t.

Imagine what these could have been able to do if there were no multiplier limits or bclk limits and on cold.... LGA2011 I hope for the best... 7.5 ~ 8GHz would probably be possible.

Yeah, we got a few x56 too. That's not many tho, but still no x57 in sight.

I was wondering if this is batch#-related, maybe you need golden CPU to hit x57?.
Because if it's MB/BOIS-related then we should see a few x57 among all these different MBs, at least.
