    zsamz_,

In complete agreement. I can't even get their support centre to replace a faulty VGA cooler. Looking at their 2009 Annual report, their revenue's are down 80%+ for the year. They must be cutting deep at the Customer Service level. Technical service is non existent, although I was at least offered a cheap work-around(IE: a resistor instead of a replacement).

I like their Black PCB boards on their new ATI line of cards and planned on buying one for my gaming build, but after this experience, I'm rather concerned if I have a problem - no warranty coverage.

Why doesn't this website have a separate forum for foreign posters? Because the warranty and support for people outside the U.S. is worse than the U.S. Support is. I see the people complaining here are from other countries outside the United States. I didn't have a problem with my RMA with XFX a couple years ago (I live in the United States).

Would you accept a rma back if you were to have the back plate the graphics card painted to match the colour of your computer case? Thanks.

My first xfx card is this 5870 and I had some issues with it, but xfx tech support is awesome! If xfx is an option anytime for me on future purchases, they are definitely the way I will go from now on! Double lifetime warrantee and overclocker friendly extremely helps as well! I couldn't have been happier with my purchase!

We both suffered burnt out Memory Controllers & each of us lost 2 x 2GB Ram Kits, yet neither of us ever over volted? - Almost like DFI RD600 all over again ffs.
My old XFX XXX 7950GX2 is at a friends house & still going strong thankfully.
Shocking support from XFX trying to get RMA's for the Mobo's, so we both wrote them off & chucked them in a skip.

No prizes for guessing who wont be buying XFX again.

I got one out there now, there first question was "How long did you use it before you had problems" ? What difference does it make is what I was thinking. I had to look when I registered it, copy the date past it in my email and explain to them I registered it the day I got it, it quit today. Its like they are really trying to stall the whole process.

I bet that will be there next question where is the receipt after waiting a week.

Sorry if this is my first post after being a member so long. I use your forum to get good information. Which your site provides, and i thank you for that but this needs to be seen so others can make good buying decisions.
Just sorry my first post is a negative one
    To XFX
Your warranty's don't mean anything. I sent in a board for rma a few months ago and it was bad out of the crappy box the rma'ed was shipped back in in. The box they shipped it in was just that.. The motherboard box. Who does that??? Plus it had the shipping and postage from the guy that sent it in for his return before me. rma'ed Board had bent pins under the CPU cover and bad USb ports as well. I needed this board that day so i had to use it. So i have the tools to fix bent pins as i have been building computers for over 20 years and need those things. Fixed that and put it into production. So not even 7 months later it dies basically, i let them know through other forums and tickets.
My answer the "lifetime" warranty is 2 years on motherboards 3 years on video cards no lifetime warranty. Buyers beware they used to be real good company but i am not sure now. Did a google search seems i am not the only one. Also i have some others i recommended XFX as well 3 of 5 have issues as well both video cards and motherboards.

This is how hey treat there customers

[ 4/6/2010 9:26:54 PM] The RMA motherboard you sent me quit working i went through everything and narrowed it down to this board also when i replaced it with another it worked fine in the machine i replaced it with. With all the old parts. The motherboard does not boot correctly. It needs constant on off cycles on reboot and when it does boot, the USB ports do not work correctly and never have as far as i can tell. Please send me a proper board
[ERIK_A 4/6/2010 9:43:04 PM] Hi Jim, This is the board from 7 months ago? When did it fail? Motherboard have a 2 year warranty from the original purchase date, according to the registration this unit was original purchased March 2008, which means the warranty on the board is unfortunately up. - Erik
[ 4/6/2010 9:48:59 PM] I have only had the board which was supposed to be new replacement and it was not new. The box looked like it had been round the world and back. It had a bent pins and luckely i have been in the computer business for 20 years and have the tools to fix it. Also the board has a 3 year warranty.. It did when i bought it anyway. So please let me know what we need to fix the problem.
[ 4/6/2010 9:53:19 PM] Also the board has been down for a month i left a post at bjorn3d forums in March and no one answered there either so i did this way forums because i never get answered here for weeks. This is the fastest response i have ever got from you all.
[ 4/6/2010 9:53:39 PM] And that post was from march!
[ 4/6/2010 10:03:18 PM] it says in my user control panel that i made the post on * Find all posts by allup * Find all threads started by allup General Information * Last Activity: 03-22-2010 05:51 PM * Join Date: 03-19-2008
[ 4/8/2010 12:29:14 AM] Is there going to be an answer soon?
[MARK_C 4/8/2010 6:18:20 PM] Hello Jim, Replacements are basically never new. Any time that you send in an electronic component to a manufacturer you are going to get back a recertified product. It doesn`t matter if it is a cell phone, a hard drive, a motherboard, or a Playstation 3. That is how it always is. Motherboards have two year warranties. They have always had two year warranties. From your registration we know that you bought the board at least before 3/1/08 which would put it out of warranty. There are no service options for this board. Thank you. Mark
[ 4/8/2010 6:37:53 PM] OK then i will take it to the court of public opinion... You are already damaged goods in alot of sites. You sent me back a defective motherboard with bad usb ports to begin with i did not have time to send it back as i had to put it in production.
Would you like pic`s of the box you sent?
So i will take this and post and the ones above it around a few fan sites to start with,
[ 4/8/2010 6:44:16 PM] Also on the replacement parts Yes i am a high end computer builder i build for alot of folks, guys wanting good computers. I on occasion have to RMA parts. Don`t try to BS me i always get good parts when i RMA!! Hell when i have to RMA OCZ stuff like a PSU I get back better then what i sent in! Same with Asus and Ultra so don`t piss down my back and tell me it`s raining!
    [ 4/8/2010 6:48:05 PM]
[MARK_C 4/9/2010 10:58:44 PM] Hello Jim, Your warranty has expired. That is the end of any discussion. I will mark this ticket as closed. Thank you. Mark

I actually have a question regarding the XFX HD 5850 reference versions. I used alcohol and removed the XFX sticker so that the card looks like a full on reference card and I'm wondering does that void the warranty?

The back still has the XFX serial numbers, all I did was remove the stickers on the front so it looks bare.

I do hope that XFX warranties are good for their Graphic cards.

I have two of the 4870X2. I used these in an Asus M3A32 Deluxe. Issue: whether I am in 2D or 3D the GPU runs at 507mhz and the memory at 500mhz. Gone through all kinds of settings in bios and over time have upgraded ATI CCC from version 9.2 all the way up to 10.4 This has been tried with Xfire and non Xfired and single card only. Now one card will not work, even from a fresh reload. (using Win7 Ultimate 64bit). The other card is now failing too. During in game I get square blocks on the screen. Moved up to an Asus M4A79T with new memory and the X4 965. Have the same problem.

I have been in contact with XFX and they have replied and have tried to work with me. I now have an RMA to turn in both cards. Cards are original no modifications. Purchased in June 2009 from NewEgg. I will be sending these cards back to them this week. I do hope I will be able to post a good story about XFX warranty. Will post again when I hear back from them and thanks to the others for their postings. I come here often when making a purchase decision and to solve problems.

I had to send a 4890 back to them a few months back and it was a hassle free experience. They replied right away for my questions and had a good turn around time with the rma card.

add me to list of unhappy XFX customers!
This happened some moths back posting about it now
Couple of months back my XFX 8800GTS died on me. I did register the card within 30 days of buying it and I still have my purchase invoice.
contacted xfx support and they told me XFX offers only a 2 year warranty in my region and that there is nothing they can do!

I was even ready to ship the card back to the US or anywhere else if they could rma it for me but they wouldnt listen.

Ended up buying a new Sapphire 4870.

In case you hadn't noticed, XFX don't frequent here anymore. So while your complaints are understood, it falls on deaf ears as far as trying to get some attention from XFX regarding your issues.

UPdate on the RMA sent to XFX

XFX Force took care of my problem with excellent speed and service!

They looked at my cards and determined they were in deed not working correctly and they replaced my cards. I sent in a pair of the 4870X2 and got back two of the 5870 ZNFC. These work like they are supposed to work. Now I do wish I could have gotten back another set of the 4870X2 (4 gpu's crossfired), I would much rather of had all four GPU back up and running on my system again. But by the reviews and test, the 5870 runs as fast if not faster in some cases than the 4870X2 and I got DX11 now. I am happy with what I received back from XFX!

I did exactly what XFX asked and I got a better replacement. If they would have offered a pair of the 5970's with some extra cash (from my end) I would have done that too!

Will I buy another XFX Force product? Most definitely, YES!

Some of the techs were lacking in communication (meaning), Do I need to re-register these cards? So I submitted another ticket asking this question.
Yes, you do need to re-register, but leave the other cards registered too! So, any you you who has had their card replaced, please make sure to re-register your new or replacement card.

I have had excellent service with XFX also when I had to send a card in. I think most of the negative posts are from people living in other countries (not in the United States). They have different warranties, and are serviced in their own countries. These forums on this website, for whatever reason, appear to be filled with people from the UK. Their comments are totally opposite of what I have experienced... and actually anger me. Most people don't take the time to notice which country they are posting from, then they make the assumption that XFX must be bad.
