Think about the confusion that is going to occur when both versions of the boards are floating around. Also think about the user who has the initial board release with our block, and wants to get a second board, but only the revised version is available.

These cards are notoriously attractive in Cross Fire. They are also horribly loud in extreme O/C situations (try to run 2 at 100% fan speed, it is unbearable). So they are perfect candidates for L/C. But not everyone can buy two of them at once. So, having blocks that are precisely compatible with both versions (thermically, hydraulically, and in terms of geometry for C/F installation) is crucial.
