am i reading this to say there will be no 1066 ram support? even thru dividers?

I don't see why it wouldn't work with 1066's but why use them when 1333 is so cheap( unless you own them)

1866's would default to 1333 and if you wanted 1866 you'd either set for XMP profile or manually set them.

Ah fair enough, on my x58 default is 1066, so 1333 is default for the Sandybridge mobos?

It is with the DDR3-1600 GSKill sticks I used.

I got the retail i7-2600K already(D2 stepping), but cannot get it past 4.9Ghz.

4.8Ghz @ 1.35V running IBT about 2-hour (on Corsair H70), motherboard is MSI P67A-GD65.

4.9Ghz need 1.5V, a little unstable, but still can do Vantage CPU test/Wprime 1024Ms easy

5Ghz CANNOT Boot at all...no matter what voltage I applied. Already testing on air , testing a lot of various configuration, for about one week and don't seem to get better result. Still cannot boot @ 5Ghz.

And the most confusing experience, it DOESN'T Scale at ALL with LN2(-130C)...wasted 35L already, no result. Triend the same processor on 4 different motherboard(ASUS,GBT,MSI,Intel), no gain.Not even a 100Mhz increase.Nothing.nada.zip

BLCK Scaled a bit from 104Mhz(air) to 110Mhz(LN2), but clockspeed seems the same (4.9Ghz).

So far, SB = Good for air, nightmare for Xtreme overclocker

Look like my chip at 5.0GHz can't boot anyways to windows but it can reboot from bios to post screen always and for stable like you too about 4.8GHz and benching 4.9GHz for now on Intel mobo but my chip bclk is bad only 102MHz

ps. waiting to try more with other mobo

but still is 4.9 GHz verynice for evereday using ....1.5V and extra 100 MHz is not good idea, your 4.8GHz with lower voltage seems better

Wonder how far i5-2500K are gonna clock

Just got my 2500k running last night, it's LinX stable at 4.8GHz 1.33v in bios 1.35 ~ 1.36v Gigabyte easy tune under load. Thats great for me but the best bit is it only just hits 60oc with a 15oC ambient on air!!!

To early for me to speculate, my board/chip makes 48x100 1.35v easy but 49x100 takes a shoot load more vcore just to get into windows. I have googled a lot about this & most appear to be the same, its either the chips can easily run right up to there max & no more or there's another Intel BCLK type bug!!!

my 2500K can boot x53 into windows, so max. x52 isn´t true

new AIDA shows x63 as maximum Multiplier, the Bios of my DP67BG shows x65.
