<$200 2.0/2.1/5.1 speaker set w/ remote for TV

I was thinking about buying a speaker set for my parents' Panasonic G10 Plasma TV this Xmas and I'm wondering if there's any such speaker set 2.0/2.1 or 5.1 with a remote to be able to adjust the volume and it doesn't matter if it's computer speaker set or for TV targeted set as long as it works and hopefully costs 150€ / $200 or so at most.

I tried hooking up a Logitech X-530 5.1 set to it but it became very unpractical when you had to adjust the volume from the speaker's volume knob all the time so I need a remote for the speakerset unless proper TV speaker sets would be hooked up on the same volume adjustment as the TVs normal built-in speakers which wasn't the case with X-530 even if using stereo plug > RCA cables.

A set of logitech z-680s should fit your bill. I have a set and they are pretty good set of speakers for the price. They have a lot of nice features such as a remote control, 3.5mm inputs, optical input, and coax input, and a lot more.

I can't seem to find Z-680 around here anymore (discontinued?) and besides it's a bit on the expensier side as I won't be able to use proper 5.1 sound with the TV anyway, front and back speakers would just output the same thing which is why I'd rather try get a 2.0/2.1 set in first place but I know 5.1 sets offers more often remotes I think and I'd concider a computer speaker 5.1 set as a last resort.

RPG, I would recommend a used A/V receiver, a nice pair of bookshelf speakers.
