chiller? i dont wanna worry about condensation.. more power to yah though

this is what i ended up getting + 110v eheim 1250 pump

the hunt for 1.025 or better 3rd vidder is on

once i get it all done its going to be a 24/7 m0nster.. i hope

    goal: ~5.2ghz 980x ~1100/2200/2600 3x 580

nice set up, with the above chiller aslong as the water temp is just above room level you dont need to worry about condensation at all.

if your after a low vid, my card is a inno 3D card, i'm not sure if these are all 1.012vid but it would be a good guess

vid is not everything as I got 2 580 gtx SC's and one has a vid of 1.063 and the other 1.082. One would think they would not overclock very well. I ran both cards
at 1.088 at 900/2100 and ran everything I at threw at them all night.. No artifacts. I did not try lower voltages or higher overclocks.. I wanted 900 on the core and 2100 on the ram.
So I tried that first and it ran fine.. SO im very pleased. I may try for more later when I get a faster/better overclocking cpu.. My 980x sweet spot is 4200mhz.. 4400mhz needs 1.40 volts underload to be stable! When means i have to set it at 1.462 in bios. Thats too much for voltage in my book for 24/7

He's not making a "chiller" (water below ambient via ice or refrigeration)... the parts he's using are just normal water cooling.

two Galaxy reference cards 1.025V and 1.012V (both @ 1.100V for stability)

They are running well @920MHz with 2200MHz ram.. i can still go further i think but it does get to 71C w/o any special 100% fan unlock.

Flawless game performance, very nice cards w/ i7@4.2, ram @ 1600

Not sure how you guys hit 950 / 2300, maybe 1.1V is not enough..

go for it shigs after i took a closer look at the chiller.. nice chiller! being able to control temp and up to 790w cooling capacity.. if that would be us price id definitely get 2x

the difference between low vid and high vid can be up to 75-100mhz

not everything? only if 50-75-100mhz is not everything

the low vids are always ahead by that much even when voltage/cooling is applied to both

exactly your doing only 1.1v and thats pretty good

since its sli you have to raise to 1.125-1.150v for 950/2300

an all nickel plated system too bad ek doesnt offer ram waterblocks wouldve liked an all ek nikel plated system instead of the mips ram wb

as for the cpu waterblock issue if you look closer youll see the copper base when i ordered full nickel

theres gotta always be something with every order if its not the manufacturer its the shipper if not the courier

I can run 3DMark Vantage all day long with my single EVGA GTX 580 Hydro Copper @ 950/1900/2200 set at 1.138v. Temps never even get above 50c.
But as soon as I enable SLI, I get massive screen tearing and the benchmark will crash about half way through the second GPU test. Anyone know if a quick fix?
I have run both Crysis and Heaven in SLI and they look great. I know 3DMark 11 has issues with SLI but I didn't think Vantage did as well. Already tried reinstalling drivers, so that option is out.
Thanks in advace to anyone that can help out.

Otherwise I love these cards. They stay really cool and look great. Check out my build log in if anyone wants to see them installed in my new system.

    Temp question

Can these chips handle the same temps as the older gtx 480 like 105c and does anyone use there card in a close case? If so what are the max temps say in furmark or occt with voltage monitor disabled.

heres the status guys.. last evening after 8pm i finally received the 3rd 1.025vidder the stars lined up for me i guess.. i thought otherwise since last night cause this 1.025vidder was barely doing 900mhz but all 3 were doing 900 extreme loads per 3dmark11 @ max settings which was impossible before with the 1.063vidder in the mix

    http://3dmark.com/3dm11/261819

i was just too tired to continue/post last night so i spent the day to figure out why this 1.025vidder was doing poorly vs the other two 1.025vids

so i checked temps on all 3 and the new card was doing 10 even more than 10 degrees C on default clocks for no reason which was just baffling.. so i checked the temp on the 1.063vidder and was it doing stable/normal/uniform temp just like the 1.025vids.. hmm maybe the cooler is fooked up? i swapped the coolers between the new 1.025 and 1.063 and now all 3x 1.025vids are doing 950mhz marvelous!! the tri-sli system is ready for watercooling

so if you got a low vid and your temp/clock sux get another cooler cause its very plausible the cooler is under performing

right this minute i just received the waterpumps but the cpu waterblock hopefully by tomorrow please santa please!

It's gonna be a job to install all those gpu blocks since EK doesn't cut the thermal pads for you.
I used TX-4 on the chip and that stuff is a pain to spread but was worth it, this is the coolest running gpu I've ever owned.
At 950/1900/2100 it runs 17c cooler under load than my 285 did at default clocks.

I'm looking forward to your pics and numbers when you've got it all assembled.

Received my first GTX580 yesterday, wanted to know are there 1.00Vid GTX580 as well??? Since afterburner and nvidia inspector seems to read it as 1.00V. Though not exactly a spectacular overclocker IMO, seems to be able to run 3d benchmarks @ 975/1200 @ 85% fan speed. Was hoping it would touch the magical 1000 core mark, talk about greed,

What's the typical required voltage for 900 MHz on the core? Did a short bit of testing today, seemed to get 875 MHz stable at 1.088v (though not much testing aside from MSI Kombustor for a bit and Heaven benchmark once over), but 900 reverted to stock speeds at the same voltage.

Also, what's typical for RAM overclock? I bought an "overclocked" MSI card that was running reference clocks, so I set the clocks with Afterburner it was supposed to have (no voltage tweak), and it reverted back to reference midway through Heaven. If I only changed the core speed to what it was supposed to be, it ran fine.

Thinking I may have gotten screwed over... D:
