try 1.100-1.125vgpu/auto fan and see how hot they get @ default clocks then work your way up the clock ladder

Actually,i got 850Mhz right on the first try with all 3 cards at 1.1 volts,without any artifacting and running several loops of the heaven demo,but came across something i never though would happen..


I use 3 screens,so i though that the overclock on the GPU's would make a performance difference,and this is with a 980x running at 4.5 Ghz(1.4 volts,air cooled),but look at these results:


With the cards at stock clocks:




With the cards running at 850/2100:





So what i'm going to do next is push the CPU a little bit harder and see if the difference increases,compared to the minimal difference acheived by overclocking the cards,and if it does get larger,then a 980x at 4.5 Ghz,simply isn't enough to uncork all the performance out of the cards,even at stock clocks,and at least with regards to the heaven demo...

I'll install them tomorrow and run the benchmark with the cards overclocked and see if there's any improvements then,if not,then squeeze the CPU a little harder and see then.


Would be shocking hitting a wall at these crazy settings,CPU wise though.

what power supply ?

cpu is ok the benchmark is totally gpu dependent at this rez/settings

you need those quadro drivers

heres boulard83s 5760x1080 so you can compare

My 885mhz SLI GTX460 was barelly keeping 30fps AVG at this res. 2 GTX580s nearly stock and WAY better.

Boulard isn't running the same settings as me,as i'm running in extreme tesselation mode and 5760*1200 resolution,16X AF and 4X antialiasing...

i just brought it up since you can compare vs 2way sli @ 5760x1080

It seems like AA level don't matter for tri-sli.
And yes, 64-bit FPS a lower for me too than 32 because of better LOD i think.
Anyway, min FPS a LOT higher

Did a retest with much never drivers and CPU/GPU on stock clock.

while tri-sli worx @ ambush map doesnt quite work @ cargo flythrough

yup mine was 8x/8x on CF coz P45 and...............old q9550
