This may be a strange question from some, but anybody knows what's the lowest safe operation temperature for a compact camera?
I'm wondering when my poor little TZ10 will freeze to death, it's -17'C today.

It wont freeze to death (ok, maybe some plastic parts wont like sub-zero temperatures), but except LCD, it should work. And if you keep your camera somewhat warm (inside jacket), it should be fine.

Just when you come home from outside, dont turn camera on, leave it for 15-30 mins off, so condensation wont kill it. And anyway, if you use card reader to get your pics, no worries.

Yeah I always keep it my pocket, that's best part with my little compact baby.
I didn't think about condense, but yeah I always use card reader, mostly for protecting the card.

Thanks! Unfortunately the H10's lens isn't wide enough (whopping 38mm stock to frame the whole entire car. Btw, lovely bokehs.

Yeah, that's why I put the -15'C there.

It was really cold, but that shot reminds me about a hot summer evening, too.
