AT isn't Swiftech's European distributor, that's a company in France.

More then likely but I will let who knows for sure post on that. But they are reaching their tentacles in here as of late however and I for one think they should be pulling them back a little. They did not release the trademarks nor did they make any apologies here. To me they are crooks plain and simple and should not be allowed to grace these forums for what they have done. It is insulting.

go back to same link, and enter "swiftech" in the "trademark" search field. then look at ownership...

I am not sure what entering "aquatuning" in the "owner" field reports, or maybe this particular section has not been updated, but we do own our trademark

Aquatuning posting on this thread would be corporate suicide. You can't defend what they did in any way shape or form. It may have been legal, but its a really crappy thing to do. They will never even acknowledge this happened, just ignore it and wait for it to go away. Shame it didnt get more press outside of this forum as I know many people on other forums hadnt even heard of this until I told them. Benchtec were sponsored by AT and didnt know about this (not sure when they dropped them but I dont see any AT banners on their site anymore so good on them), its not like this is well known information outside of this forum. If they reply it will whip this thread up into a frenzy and that may just push it out into web.


TBH im surprised they had the balls to even register an account here. XS staff can't ban them from joining as obviously they have a right to express their opinions exactly as we do. I doubt they'll break any forum rules, but until they do they have the right to post here just as any of us do. I'm just glad there will always be someone around to point to this thread on every post they make.

Until they address this there's too many pissed off people on this forum for this to get dropped, but as i've said above theres no way they'll address it. Bad situation.

The question was if AT stocked any Bitspower items, to which the AT rep replied "In short no. We have dropped bitspower range.". I quoted that post and linked to this thread, asking if the two were connected. The same AT rep edited my post to say "Pointless post." and locked the thread.

Yep, that seems to be how they do it. They even tried getting threads locked here when something is posted they don't like.

They just ignore anything that has to do with this trademark grab. Even if you ask a question about what that case design comp that may show them in bad light, they ignore the question and/or delete it.

The rep from AT has no more influence over whether a thread is deleted or locked than does any other member.

I am sorry people like Sadasius have left over this issue. That is an individual choice people are free to make. Some have assumed that allowing an AT rep to post on XS means "XS" actively supports AT. That is not the case - they / he is allowed to participate as are other vendor reps.

If people have new information on AT or their business practices, they are free to post them in this thread. The request is that we do not get into the trolling, flamebaiting, or personal attack drama.

I should have clarified myself. I didn't mean that they PM'ed a mod or anything like that. I'm not an admin and have no idea what goes on behind closed doors.

I meant that when there was a thread or 2 here that wasn't going their way, they posted that the thread should be closed. That is what I meant. Sorry if it read different.

Sorry but they pissed our hobby? Now what they did here is fishy indeed and i dont blame them if they dont like aquatuning and dont want to buy from them. But other than that they are a large store with good selection and they have a lot of happy customers here. I for one have bought from them many times because iwas able to get most stuff from them in one go and they have good prices. If aquatuning didnt exist, i would had needed to order a lot of different stuff from different shops which means bigger postage fee's. Especially as we are talking about international postage. So atleast for me they sure havent pissed on my hobby but rather helped me with it. Actually I might not even had started watercooling without AT. And not to mention that atleast in my case the customer support from them has been really good.

Then regarding this thread and its original content. It indeed sounds fishy but has there actually been any facts that it would had caused something? I see that swiftech has gotten their trademarks and doesnt seem to have any problems with AT and are actually still supplying AT with their swiftech stuff. Also the other companies stuff are still sold normally all around EU. I mean that I dont actually see consequences of this. If there was actually something bad going on, would these trademarks already gotten pissed off at AT and stopped sellin stuff to AT.

I'm not really trying to defend AT on this subject but atleast I'm getting quite tired of this. Starting to feel like pointless drama. Everyone should have their own opinion and keep it to themselves. As you said, you and none of us normal posters here make the rules so I'm just glad that atleast moderators here have taken a "neutral" stand to this.

I dont really get whats weird in that. They have already explained here that they arent atleast yet going to say anything regarding this so why would they keep a thread about it open in their own forums. If i was them, I wouldnt.

Now i dunno if they will ever make any statement of this or what is this really all about but atleast I am going to be their customer as long as there wont pop up another equal store in EU. And currenly none of the existing ones arent. Atleast for me.

Sorry Shazza, i have to stand in for AT this time.

AT has been doing a great job for the community, and its downright unfair to judge them on actions last year, when they have been working hard this year.

Also its down right RUDE to chase a vendor off, when he has been working HARD to clean up the name they once had.

Yes they messed up, but it was a financial move. It had very bad social ramifications to it, but it was non the less a financial move, and the company has tried to make amends to it by things like this:

Now b4 u guys start bashing a vendor, u should check to see if they had any changes since the year they got bashed.

In Aquatunnings case, they have been working hard to get a good reputation, and so far, they restored there name in my book.
