awesome scores, well done vince and charles![]()
Kingpin: is 80k possible with this setup?
Are you sure? I thought k|ngp|n and FUGGER always showed their real CPU clocks...![]()
EPIC!
Great score, congratz![]()
Benched last night with one of my home town buddies Scotty Vanelslander. He had never even seen overclocking until I showed him this rig at the start of last night and told him we were going to bench it lol. Awesome job man! Just dropped him off (6:30am)

man you got that sr-2 singing, i have no idea how you do that..
great result mate, closing in on that 75
damn fast run man, and gpu still @ 1070

What a blast your buddy got, now on the other site, a friend letting another friend be a part of the KPI of such a rig is sure a buddy

Nearly 75K, what a score! Well done!![]()
Damn nice Master
Pushing the chip's to 5.5GHz is insane and still margin to increase voltage
I'm sure we will see the 75k falling soon![]()
This looks really good, isn't it a WR?

Soowy for double post, but I've been looking more.
The GPU-clocks are exactly the same in Both quad-SLI runs, but this last 74314 GPU-score is much better than 73597 for the first run.
My guess was, the QPI would under-perform over BCLK203, and reduce both CPU and GPU-score, but you have fixed that in the last run.
What have you tweaked? Have you tweaked signals? Or what else, would you care to share?

QPI doesn't "underperform" at high bclks when the IOH is on LN2.![]()
Yes, the qpi won't under perform on LN2.

nickshih = 79500 GPU score. You shalt push those 580's harder!
Edit: Why do you have to lower clocks when running quad-SLI? With single card score you have the core almost at 1300mhz :O

Doesn't really work like that my man
GPU clocks/speed aren't the only thing that determine overall GPU score in 3dmark vantage. Even at 1100-1122/2400 in quad, the gpu score is still 75-76k on SR-2 at the system speeds I'm running, but on a gulftown at 6.5+ gt's its more like 79-80k.
My best quad speeds through the game tests with 580 so far is 1120/2400, just need to pair it up with my max system clocks for final runs. Any higher than that is pretty tough unless I go really crazy with the profiles. Next runs should be something like 76kgpu/76k cpu/76k+ overall.
As far as the gpu speeds from single to quad, they are always going to go down some especially on sr2 where there is so much going on at full speed on the motherboard. Power issues, board limitations, baseclock/ioh/nf200 stress etc. are some of the things restrict quad clocks.
Successful SR-2 vantage benching is all about finding the correct balance between components. I've learned just pushing raw clocks as hard as you can is a really bad approach and not the best way, it simply doesn't cooperate.
