This is the craziest Deneb I've ever seen so far. It clocks even better than my best Thuban under air cooling....4.7g NB 3000+ Ram 1800 running PI @ 38c just like a pc of cake
This chip is good for those air/water clockers, not so good for LN2 though!
Damn, what AMD has done lately !

-15c is subzero not "chilled water". Regardless of how you attain a temperature, if it's lower than 0 (zero) it's called subzero. If you have water below 0 (zero) it must contain anti-freeze of some discription so is far from "chilled water".

If I use air directly from outside and it's -10c then I can hold onto the dream that my bench sessions are air-cooled but the reality is they're subzero benches.....not simply "chilled air". The same can be said of water.

Wish I had a 1090T to play around with like you guys but alas I only have a 1055T and non-clocking memory. You guys are getting pretty good oc's nice to see what Thuban and Denab can do at colder air. Would be interesting to see what they do with winter temperatures.

    Flank:

I am trying to push my new 955 @ home now
Guess what !.....4.955g on legit air, 30c-32c, validated & could hit F5 too
This is FKing crazy. I couldn’t believe it !!!!

45mhz to go ………! Oh, man, I am having fun. It’s more fun than playing LN2
Damn, recharging my camera’s battery !

I turned off some items in CPUz (easier to hit F7 & get a cvf). The actual voltage was 1.584v

what i find most entertaining is he did that on an old 790FX board. that just shows how much a 790 board can do if you get a good one

i wish mine would go over 327 HTT

Just a few things I learnt from the old Socket 939...

    Windows XP
Disable all Windows processes that aren't needed (see picture) - you need a TINY commit charge (mine is around 20MB when CPU-Zing)
CPU-Z and SetFSB or whatever - single core affinity and LOW priority
    Kill explorer.exe
    No video drivers

That used to be good for an extra 30MHz or so

    My dearest friend, Flank3r
This is for you…..5GHz on legit air validated
I had lots of fun during the process & felt even more excited than getting another 7GHz.
Thanks for your invitation. Your enthusiasm is surely a plus to the OC Community & the XS where I can learn from & find many good friends with diff. colors.

I’m sure many people who really love benching AMD will get this score too. I’m just the lucky one.
I’ll post a picture of the cpu with the week & batch after removing the HS from my rig later.
