I guess giving you the figures supported by links didn't help at all. With 20 barts card available at Newegg one can hardly call it bad supply, considering not always Newegg has all the cards listed in stock at the same time or comparing to the GTX 580 cards availability.

I believe the 20-30% over MSRP might be little exageration on your part, even more so if the competing cards are also going to be available.

The only way such mark up would hapen if the 6900 cards are priced lower than the GTX 500 cards and perform much better which i doubt will hapen and if it does it would be still good value when compared.

I believe the 5850 is just missprint since the card is EOL but there still plenty on sale at Newegg.
