Just so I understand the HDD part correctly - have two drives, one for system and PCM Vantage, but for the HDD tests, select in advanced options the separate, clean Vertex 2 drive?

BTW I have an old Dell Perc 6/i controller. Could it be useful for this comp?

exactly. the dell might not work well with the ssds so just run off the onboard. try it but I think the onboard will be better since its newer.
