I would only be worried if your points didn't increase over the next few days. I put a Thuban up Sunday night and and I bet the numbers it does today will be quite a bit higher than Monday's.

The thing that's getting me is is if I go to the graphs in BOINC it's still a pretty straight line, increasing by around 2000PPD

New CPU installed on 29 October 2010 at around 23:00

As you can see, WCG always runs, 100% usage on all cores.

It's not throttling the clockspeed or something silly is it?

Nope, I've disabled C1E/CnQ. Always the first things I do I've had a look as well, CPU-Z doesn't show any show any throttling and temperatures are in order

Actually, is GPU-Z can log speeds to a file, is there anything that can log core speeds for an hour or two? My monitoring was limited to a few minutes.

All I can think of is that that extra RAM might help. Other than that I'm out of ideas for now.

RAM is coming soon, do you agree that my numbers don't make any sense at all though and it's not just the thing slow to update?

I don't know what to think.

How are the completion times? Similar to the quad? Slower? Faster? How about disparity between claimed and awarded points? Has that changed?

I'll check, but I never checked with the quad. Run times are still around six hours per unit.

Granted is almost always four more than claimed, and looking back is consistent with what I was getting around the 22nd of last month (a week before changing chips).

Post CPU-Z... maybe we'll see something you missed

Also look over Windows power settings to make sure something stupid isn't being done by the OS.

Sent is when the unit was sent, Due/returned is when the unit is either due, if it hasn't been returned yet or when it was returned as complete.

Hahaha it gets really close sometimes, I'm dropping to a nine day queue! Does my pending queue look as if PPD might shoot up soon?

Not enormously, but with a nine day queue you're running close to having work declared "too late". I never run over five and mostly run at three.

To my way of thinking, the queue length is a balancing act between making sure I have enough work to cover any small outages while not running anything over-time or holding up other people's validations excessively. Having a shorter queue also makes it more likely I will get beta units and make-up units as they have shorter deadlines than regular units.

Did you do a fresh install of boinc/os OJ?
    I had a similiar problem when I first started using a 1090t.
Had a 4 core in the board prior and tried running without any new installs and experienced a cap similar to yours until I did a fresh boinc install.
I think it has to do with the system id and boinc still expecting only 4 cores of run time.

If that works I will (figuratively) kiss you. Reinstalling...

Oh, must I clear my cache, etc?

I'll change the PC name while it is uninstalled as well.
