Trixx is NOT publically available even though Sapphire advertises it on their packaging. However, thanks to Riska for posting the beta build.

I should also note that the version of Trixx you have linked isn't the updated version with HD 6800 series support.

My 6870 will be here in the morning...
Does this version of TriXX work at all for Oc'ing the Sapphire 6870?

Even if I can't adjust the V's, adjusting the clocks higher than what CCC offers may be an advantage.

Guess I'll have to try for myself, but I thought SKYMTL might have some insight.

In this moment , only ASUS HD6870 can overvolt
But you must use the ASUS Smart Doctor to overvolt

Afterburner works for additional overclocking using the "Force Unsupported GPU" modifier in the config file but not for voltage tuning.

The only Trixx version that will work is a beta that was released to review websites and has the capability to increase voltages. Unfortunately, websites are not allowed to distribute it for the time being.

Can anyone share their Asus HD 6850 BIOS dump using ATIWinflash20112 (the latest I can find) ?
    http://www.ziddu.com/download/122560...20112.rar.html

Seems Asus SmartDoctor strictly needs the Asus BIOS for it to work, thanks in advance.

Just wait till MSI afterburner updates in about a week, it's not worth the risk of bricking your card.

Bricked cards due to wrong firmware flash can easily be fixed by a backup pci card.

In fact, I did a blind firmware (it seems like integrated GPU, or maybe just my stupid mobo cannot be used as a backup card) flash last time when I accidentally bricked my 4890.

Sometimes you have to love MS-DOS lol.

Really, which program do you use for that?

Got the Asus EAH6850 BIOS from a friend but can't do the crossflash since even the latest ATIFlash does not recognise any HD6850 adapters at all.

Thanks for the link, unfortunately voltage control is still greyed on my Sapphire 6870...
Clocks are still limited to the CCC settings as well (1000/1250).
Monitoring seems to be working fine!

For some wierd reason my wireless is trashed again, but it gives me fits all the time so I'm not gonna blame it on AfterBurner....

A wireless connection on an OC rig seems to be asking for problems, I just hate
having this cord running down the steps and across the floor...

Same here Daveburt714, running a Sapphire 6870 but can't get any higher than CCC limits. Can't wait to see what this thing will do once we get some working programs to unlock voltage!
