    Hot and fresh :) MSI R6870 2PM2D1GD5

Heard the news of the upcoming ATI 6XXX videocards? well, here it is. The first and real benchies of the 6870 videocard.

Upon my observation and correct me if im wrong, the 6870's performance is a bit lower than the 5870 or at least on par with the 5850. I only used 3dmark Vantage to compare its performance with the previous 58XX video card series.

Might also try running some few games just to check the FPS. By the way, im still using a beta driver from ATI and maybe once they release an official driver the performance of this card will be better.

I also noticed, tessellation performance has increased. I saw this using the Unigine Heaven 2.0 Benchmark. Anyways, let's go on with short test of MSI R6870 2PM2D1GD5 VC. The colorbox is quite different from previous MSI designs especially for the high-end models. Before if it is a highend, the box will have a plastic handle and the box is black. Pictures below

Next, the bundled accessories. Mini Display to Display port, 2x 4pins connector to 6pin Power VC, Crossfire

Bridge,VGA to DVI, Manual and Software CD.

Actual video card shots. Rear ports (2 mini display ports, 2 DVI and one HDMI). Thus will give you a maximum of 4 monitors for eyefinity but the 2 mini display ports must be used.

    Pencil Case?

More VC shots. Too bad. Trifire or Quadfire is not applicable for this VC

    Back part of the card

For the test system. Specs are below
    •Processor: Amd Phenom II X4 965 3.4ghz Stock (oc'ed to 3.8ghz)
    •Motherboard: 890FXA-GD70
    •PSU: Acbel M8 670
    •Mems: GSKill Trident 2GB DDR3 1333mhz
    Benchies Result

    3dMark Vantage all stock

3dmark Vantage Oc'ed VC and System

Lastly, Uniengine Benchmark 2.1 . Max Settings and Tessellation Extreme @ 1440x900

So that's it. I will try to post more benchies

    bench these in CFX pweeeez!!

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
