Whoa... just realized they changed the capable gpu chart...
Has NVIDIA announced all of those?
I mean 450, 440 and 430?

Just wanted to say thanks for the guide I think I'll stick with this for a while - been folding for CustomPC on and off for a couple years now, but the GUI and all-in-one nature of BOINC seems to take a lot of the hassle out of it all.
@edit: Wow, my first post

Glad I could help!
so how do i install multiple GPU's on one mobo to crunch two separate threads? so far, i just plugged in the second GPU and nothing happened . win7 just installed its own drivers and i just let it. i'm afraid if i DL the correct driver for it and install, it might install over the other video card's drivers. is it possible to have 2 separate drivers on the same mobo?
What does boinc manager tell you at startup messages? does it recognize you have a second board at all?
Last week I moved my 285 to the same system as my 295 and once I plugged both six pins in correctly (sigh) it worked fine.
Why do you need different drivers ... oh ... you have 1 nvidia and 1 ati?
pff tried to join but the 8600 GTis so slow it estimates 21 hours for 1 project and growing so i stopped and just run WCG since it uses cpu too. sorry guys

Sorry guys, both the 9500GT and 8600GT are listed on the GPUGrid site as either too slow or will not work at all for this project.
Evreyone should feel free to do what is right for them and their hardware, no hard feelings MrDucky, we all like WCG here too
Lol just as i was thinking of plugging in my backup 8600gt in :P
I'm having problems with my Battlefield games again, what's the % difference in crunching under XP-64 compared to 7? Once i get a new card, i'll probably be going back.

Assume nothing; Question everything
XP is MUCH better for crunching ... for my 480 the difference is ~40%
GTFO! I wonder how big it is for Whitefiredragon........one thing i did remember though, XP having issues with WPA2......eeeesh it's not easy being a cruncher..

Thanks for the guide Otis, it's not much but I've got a GTX275 in my Dad's part-time cruncher
Nymph - Xeon 5675 @ 4.1 w/ x2 680
Ikaros - i7 920 w/ 275 - Build In Progress
Long live LGA1366
Thanks for joining Kryja ... a 275 is a very nice card for crunching GPUGrid
Gah. i JUST realized... why are my gpus only running at around 60-75% usage and not 100?
It's with how the GPU usage is measured and how GPUGrid is programmed. The only way to make it significantly change is to change OSs - although different WUs will take different amounts.
Basically, it's nothing to worry about unless you're running a dedicated cruncher - then I believe XP is the answer (preferably 64 bit for CPU calculations)
Hello,
I'm new using GPUGrid and I need some help :
I have an error message in BOINC "Message from server : Your computer has no NVIDIA GPU"
My GPU is a GTX 460 1GB OC from Gigabyte, I have the latest driver from NVidia 260.89
Any idea? So I could participate.
Thanks for your reply.
But I confused!?
It was ask to check this "protected application box" while installing BOINC For WCG.
Will this work if I reinstall and uncheck This For GPUGrid?
Yes, you will need to uncheck it if you want to run GPUGrid.
When you are performing the re-installation, make sure you have the latest BOINC version.
how come the GTX 460 is not included on the grid list??

WOOT!
I just got a Gigabyte GTX 460 yesterday so thought it would be good to join up!
Also, what does this image mean?
Does it mean that the GPU is using 12% of one of the Cores to run? If so, I'm assuming the effect on the WCG Work units in negligible. (I think I read that somewhere)
Thanks=[Pulsar]=
