They are classed as different cards because of the amount of GDDR each has. You can't SLI them
I SEE well i'll just use the lower one for benches separately, but IF i can find another 512 GDDR3 then i'm good to go????
this makes me miss Crossfire - you could even pair different cards among the same series with different ram and clocks...oh well
I guess thats NVIDIA for you
ps: any chance i could fool the board bying with the bios???
cause i know some guy got a 8800gt and a 9800gt to SLI together ...can't remember where though...
or does bios modding merely only fool the CARD...
cause these are only temp until 6870, they mean nothing to me - and getting another one for 40 bucks if i unload the alpha dog should be easy
EDIT:
I also heard that 8800gt sli is somewhere near hd5770-hd5830 - which is getting into 6800 range anyway so....???
i dunno, just thought it'd be fun...
at least until i can get a 6870 or 6790 or whatever they come out with next spring
thanks
EDIT2: also i know p5n d sucks a major amount of @%$ for overclocking but it HAS to be a step up from g31 anyway
besides i've tried 4850 in crossfire so i figured it would be fun to compare scores, see if i could even break 20000 in 3d mark 06
