Hi all. Newbie overclocker here. I've never done i7 OC before and i was wondering if anyone can help me OC my 920 D0 with 12gb 2000Mhz C9 RAM. I just loaded the F7 Bios but which BIOS would you guys recommend? I'm hoping for around 4.2 to 4.4Ghz 24/7 OC.
My specs:
CPU: i7 920 D0 (liquid cooled apogee XT)
MOBO: GA-X58A-UD7 rev. 1.0 (F7 bios using the liquid cooling block that came with the board)
GPU: XFX 5970 2gb (running at 1Ghz/1300Mhz with Danger Den waterblocks)
PHYSX: GTX260 OC Maxcore (at stock w/ standard air cooling)
RAM: 12gb (6 x 2gb) Kingston HyperX KHX2000C9D3T1FK3 (at default atm using kingston Fans)
SOUNDCARD: Creative Titanium Fatal1ty
HDD1: WD 160gb velociraptor
HDD2: 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3
PSU: Corsair hx1000
MONITOR: HP LP2475W H-IPS
SPEAKERS: 5.1 Klipsch HD300
