5D classic with 50mm 1.8 classic

40D w/grip and 28-135 EF ultrasone motor with hood. Plus assorted lenses I can borrow from the wife. A 1.4 zoom extender and a 2x macro extender.

Tripod: a couple of the cheap $15 ones. Better spread them so you have one everywhere.

Light: 580EX and a triple set of AC non-flash lights, the package from B&M. It sucks.

Bag: Stealth reporter 300.

Wishlist:
- some 50-100mm or whereabouts with more light
- longer zoom (who doesn't)

Long-term:
- full-frame body with sensor that has best performance at low light. It's always bad weather when I go out.

Canon EF F2.8 100mm Macro USM (sharp as a tack, used either for macro work, product shooting, or just as a walk around lens)
Canon EF F4L 70-200mm USM (Perfect for portraits at the 70mm end and always used at sporting events around campus. Again extremely sharp being an L lens)

Nikkor F2 50mm AI (Extremely sharp at all f-stops)
Mamiya-Sekor F2 50mm (Same as above, but renders much cooler colors)
Komine (Vivitar-rebranded) F2.8 135mm (Cheap, sharp walk-around lens - great bokeh and renders colors accurately)

Flash:
Canon 580 EX II Speedlite + Canon OC-E3 Off-Camera Flash Cord (Perfect combination for macro work)

Wish List:
Upgrade to 7D or 5DMKII (All out overhaul in terms of body, resolution, ISO, and AF performance as well as added Live View and HD recording)
Replace current 50mm with Zeiss Contax F1.4 T* 50mm Planar (Non-ZE mount) or Voigtlander F1.1 50mm Nokton (The only 'affordable' F1-F1.2 lens for under $1K)
Medium WA lens to short telephoto - 20mm or 35mm Zeiss Flektogon
Backup/replacement macro - Canon MPE-65 or Voigtlander APO-Lanthar F2.5 125mm (Essentially zero chromatic aberrations from APO optical design)
