the original poster here is very enthusiastic about this and then there is the rest of you raining turds on his post -.-

I don't see hydra anyone in details ?
but they're being implemented very well I think.
what's the with hatred towards them already ?
sure they need work but thing about how small that company is right now, they need more positive responses and support form users. -.-

two 5770 have more tessellation power then 1 5870.
    two tesselstors vs one
    HAVE NO FEAR!

I think it's useless at the moment. With imminent launch of the 6xxx series they should starting focusing on that doing something like this
    TRUE Lapped - Intel Core i7 2600k 4,7Ghz - ASRock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 - Nvidia GTX 1080 FE - 16Gb Crucial 2133 Mhz CL9 1,51v - Crucial M4 256Gb - Crucial MX300 1050Gb - Corsair AX850 - Fractal Define R3

dont worry, this card is haveing hard times on every form im online. also i just love dualgpu idea. dual cards, haveing two cards etc this is cool for me

some german pc portal wrote that that it has a hydra for internal crossfire.
hydra is not performing awesomely in games, as they (lucid) were saying. so that is why almost every one hates hydra.

    that is true

I like the card, i just hate the cooler. If it had an 'original' ATI cooler like the original HD5770, this card would be completely made of win. Still looks ok though.

same love as for the dual GTS 250 recently released: http://en.expreview.com/2010/03/10/g...html#more-6851

HD 5770 X2 at this point makes no sense; before that product reaches storeshelves the next gen is already out the door.
show some HD 6850 X2 action and it gets a bit more interesting... but still remains CF/SLI tech, which has its occasional issues and glitches

i wouldnt think of them as really the same, if the 250x2 is on 55nm, then it seemed like a dumb move

because the 6000s and 5000s are on the same node, it might not be all that different. and considering it will have twice the tessellation as a 5870, it should actually do very well when shown off against newer games.

do i agree with the move, depends on how many extra chips they have laying around, and how aggressively they plan to price the 5000 cards after the 6000s are released.

oh yeah? what if two of those chips cost the board maker less than one of another chip that performs the same as those two? what if the board maker can offer a card with good performance for a low price? does 5770 X2 make sense then?

think outside the box a little would you
