NDA lifts on the 18th, expected in retail chains by the 25th October.
Or so the word on the net says.

Question is, do you want to upgrade now and get a massive performance increase or wait til christmas for the Cayman part?

    Tough choice.

A $220 6770 would be fantastic. Unfortunately it probably won't be that cheap outright. It seems we will get better value in the mid-range segment from AMD this round so HOORAY!

    Barts XT = 6870

    Barts PRO = 6850

Barts retail model is indeed a HD6800

PRO is the HD6850, XT is the HD6870, I had the second edition of the Roadmap that the basic is the ultimate edition. More

And double the buswidth too. Let's hope it won't double the current price of Juniper cards.

    You are comparing a 5870 to 6770 when everyone else is comparing a 5770 to a 6770.

it can only do 70% more theoretical math. but then again this is a new shader architecture so we cant be sure if it is 2x faster yet.

But multi gpu setups are still plagued with sync issues.

    Single gpu for stability
