Well i'm trying to change my current order of 2 DD DDC 3.25 pumps for dual 350 pumps x 2 for 2 loops. Noticed that runing dual 350s were a little better then runing dual Laing D4s that i was planing on runing.

350s would be much quieter to boot right?

Jeff that is one burnt PCB. That's the thing about those pumps is that they need cooling of their own it seems or it smokes. I think I will stick to the D5's.

I had a Laing 3.2 go very similar to that. I now have two 3.25 and in the testing phase these guys are virtually silent. MUch much quieter than the 3.1 and 3.2 I had.

I use the xpsc rad tops and have thousands of hours on these pumps. However there are 120mm fans that blow directly across the pumps.

A while back, my MCP35X stopped working in the Swiftech H20-320 edge during the night. The CPU boiled the water and blew the tube off the CPU block before shutting down. I got off lightly : only the pump was dead, nothing else, despite everything else getting wet, including the power supply.

Taking the pump off the radiator I noticed that the retaining screws were very loose and when I got the pump off, quite a bit of water was in the PC board section. I made sure the new pump was securely attached and I'm finally starting to trust it after a couple of months of use.

I finally performed a postmortem on the old pump and it's obvious why it's not working. Power FETs and water don't mix very well it seems.
