Truth be known, manufacturers know they use crap TIM and do a sh|t job when it comes to choosing the mounting of the mobo cooling. I've never come across a manufacturer yet thats not RMAd something because I took the cooling off and done a proper job of it. Eitherway, doesn't effect you now I guess as you got a new mobo incoming
