One thing I'm bummed about and maybe someone here will have an answer for me...

The lack of backlighting for the keyboard.

Are there aftermarket options for keyboards that I can go with to replace the gaming keys and current keyboard? I was REALLY REALLY close to going with the M17x with an 820QM because of its backlit keyboard. In the end I opted for the EON18 because I was able to get it with 3 drives, a Blu-ray burner, and the 840QM (as opposed to all the x20QM options that Dell offers) for less than the M17x.

Performance outweighed the little frills this time.

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Apparently its pushed out to 3 weeks because of the lead time on the dual graphics cards.

I'll deff. be taking some pictures to post up. I searched for a while and couldn't really find any pictures but the ones from their galleries. Search Alienware and you will fine about a million pics of users laptops.

Yea I would most like something that I would be able to dim. I asked their sales guy if he knew of anything so maybe they will be able to give me some options.

That was a single gtx480m benchmark score.

I had a clevo d901c I think it was a year and a half back I think it was, lovely machine, it had the previous generation intel 775 pin cpu, I forget which one, and the gtx8800m gpu's in sli, which scored around 16000 in 3dmark06, loved it, but it broke down for an unknown reason and I got a desktop as a replacement lol.

    The x7200 really looks good

Oh quick note on the SLI 480m's through Origin.

I asked them about this setup and they said that the EON18 has the space for it but currently doesn't have the power to support them.

EON18 has the space for SLI GTX480Ms, however, it does not have the power to support 2 x 100W modules
Apparently they need to get their hands on whichever power supplies Clevo will be using in the x7200.

If anyone is interested in the other responses I got from then, on various questions, I'll quote those too.

In regards to the EON18 having space for the desktop components
EON18 does not support desktop CPUs because it is primarily a gaming platform. Therefore we favor DUAL GPUs over a Desktop CPU. However we could purchase and build for you a D900F barebone customized specially for you
    In regards to the display
It is a GRADE A CCFL LCD with IPS and at the highest resolution available for an 18.4" notebook LCD. 1920 x 1080. A lower resolution is available is preferred.
In regards to ram timings. Also confirms no support for overclocks currently
It varies because we support different memory options and brands, however, since we do not support overclocking in our notebooks at this moment, the memory timings do not really matter much. Nonetheless, we usually are within the 7 & 9 timings.

I think it's something like 13lbs. Don't remember if I saw an actual number or if I'm just making that up though.

If you are planning on using it for Revit and AutoCAD, I would suggest skipping consumer grade video cards and get something on a workstation level; or at least something you can softmod to.

Dell Precision M6500 machines are really nice.
