A version of this script that set things up right for Windows would be awesome![]()

i don't know what is wrong. It downloads for me as loonym.zip and it opens up with the built-in windows zip extractor or winrar just fine. Same with the one bobsama just uploaded. Try to rename the file with a .zip extension and I bet it will open fine.
Main: i7-930 @ 2.8GHz HT on; 1x GIGABYTE GTX 660 Ti OC 100% GPUGrid
2nd: i7-920 @ 2.66GHz HT off; 1x EVGA GTX 650 Ti SSC 100% GPUGrid
3rd: i7-3770k @ 3.6GHz HT on, 3 threads GPUGrid CPU; 2x GIGABYTE GTX 660 Ti OC 100% GPUGrid
Part-time: FX-4100 @ 3.6GHz, 2 threads GPUGrid CPU; 1x EVGA GTX 650 100% GPUGrid
This works for me. I unzipped it in the Program Files\Boinc folder and run the .bat file. You may have to run it as admin on some windows versions.
EDIT: When I downloaded the other files posted before I got a file without extension first and the other had a .bat file that didn't do anything when I ran it.
EDIT 2: I just downloaded the file I posted and the .bat file in it got renamed to loonym_bat instead of loonym.bat and when I open it with notepad it is all messed up.

Try downloading it from HERE.
Thanks for clearing that up guys... didn't think to add .zip to the file DO'H![]()

Yes, this is for windows. I just tried it on Win7 32 and that worked. Detached from the project and closed Boinc. Put the .bat file in the Program Files\Boinc folder and run the .bat file. I will check it on Win7 64bit too.

It works on Win7 64bit for me too. This was on a new Boinc install and it took a while for the .bat file to finish. I ran the .bat file without being connected to the internet and had to click update on the projects tab after connecting. After that it showed loonym's name too.
This is a wonderful way to remember Loonym. I will be switching over to his acct also as soon as my i7 rig is setup
For those running windows do as posted earlier. Make a new text doc and copy and paste:
cd C:\Program Files\BOINC
boinccmd.exe --project_attach http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org 470921_2ad6aebdc8149b6aa1ab551d23ed04d1
exit
Rename to: loonym project attach.cmd and off you go.
Finally got it running on the dual L5630 machine.. what a biatch..![]()

So how is Win 7 working out for you?
Is there anyway we could get a sticky for Jon, and others that are no longer with us? I think it would be nice. I know it has been mentioned beforee. I feel we need to do as much as we can to remember our fallen team mates.
You could do it manually. Detach from WCG (and your own account) using the BOINC manager then open a terminal and enter:
Alternatively, you could find the file I mentioned in my previous post (both OSs use the same file, it's just in the BOINC data directory) and change the authenticator to John's ( 470921_2ad6aebdc8149b6aa1ab551d23ed04d1 ) using Notepad, then do a project reset.Code:cd C:\Program Files\BOINC boinccmd.exe --project_attach http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org 470921_2ad6aebdc8149b6aa1ab551d23ed04d1

Sorry guys, I totally forgot to disable my work cue.. I'll join up with my SR-2 as soon as the cache is empty. An extra 100k/d should score Jon some pie![]()
Got my quad at 4.2GHz running under Loonym. Should make something like 28k points a day,
