One can always buy those Hitech P size filters, they are perfect balance of money and quality for a first timer. Then move to Lee/Singh Rays once you mastered the use.

I have a set of 3 Hitech GNDs 0.9 & 0.6 Soft and 0.9 Hard. I love how they drastically change the view of some ordinary scenery and yet look perfectly natural.

That flower is beautiful. Kinda doubt 60D will give you something that 50D doesnt (except that LCD). Photos like this are more about how skilled photographer is, than how good is his equip.

That is a 110 year old water driven PTO (Power Take off) that turns all those pulleys and shafts to run all the stuff in this picture, drill press, little generator, grinders a lathe and a black smith shop in the next room

It's an awesome keyboard and the easiest to photograph since I can remove the USB cable.

It's easy to keep the HHKB clean. :p

Now my Filco, every night I have to clean the keys with a microfiber cloth.

Use a keyboard with Topre switches. Quite quiet.

I bought my dad a lighted Mechanical Deck Keyboard so he could play BF2 at night...

Its not that loud, I think my old semi-mechanical Logitech is louder...

    I like my Dell Quietkey...

    hand self portrait.
just revisting some canon custom styles i havent played with for a while.
    this one is the TMax.
makes the image b/w.. but not fully. still allows certain colors to show up in a nonstandard way.
if you look at my wrist area there is a redish hue to it.
this looks very different under proper lighting.
this was done by the light of my monitor 1ft away.
and the obious blue and slight red from the LED's on my laptop in the background.
